कण पवित्र है, उन हरिवंशशिरोर्माण अरिष्टनेमि जिनेन्द्रका चरित्र, करुणा और विश्वमंत्रों की दृष्टि से अपना लोकोत्तर स्थान रखता है। नैमिनाथ भगवान विवाहका मंगल महोत्सव मनाने के लिए गौराष्ट्र देश समद्यत हो रहा था कि इतनेम विवाह के जुलसके समय वरराज नेमिनाथ भगवान्ने पशु ओंका कारण अन्दन सुना और दया कि मुग आदि पशु करुण स्वरसे दोन दृष्टि डालते हुए सदन कर रहे है। उस समय गणभवाचार्यके शब्दों में नेमिनाथने पशु-रक्षकोंसे पुछा___ "किमर्थमिदमेका निरुद्ध तणभुक्कुलम् ?"
____ -उत्तरपुराण १६२, पृ० ५०९ । किसलिए ये बेचारे तण भक्षण करनेवाले यहाँ अथमल किये गये है ?" उत्तरमें यह बताया गया कि
"देवैतद्वासदेवेन त्वद्विवाहमहोत्रावे । व्ययोकतमिहानीतमित्यभाषत तेऽपि तम् ॥१६३||"
१. नेमिनाय भगवान के विवाह और वैराग्यका जस्टिस जैनीने बड़ा आकर्षक वर्णन क्रिया है
"He Neminatha) wisa prince bom of the Yadava clan at Dwarka and he renounced the world when about to be married to Princess Rajamati, daughter of the chief Ugr. ascha. When the marriage procession of Neminatha approached the bride's castle, he heard the bleating and moaning of animals in a caitle pen, Upxn inquiry he found that the animals were to be slaughtered for the guests, his own friends and party.
Compassion surged up in the youthful breast of Neminatha and the torture which his marriage would cause to so many dumb creatures laid bare before him the mockery of human civilization and heartless selfishness, He flung away his princely ornaments and repaired at once to the forest
The bride who had dedicated herself to him as a prince followed him also in his ascetic life and became a pun. He attained Nirvana at Mount Girnar in the small state of Junagadh in Kathiawadh and on the same lovely mountain is showri a grotto where the chaste Rajamati breathed her last, trot far from the feet of Newinatha."
