Gommatasara Karmakanda-762 is the measure of the numerically infinite part of the descending activity period. From the perspective of numerical vision, by dividing the numerically infinite ascending gacchha 16 by 4, the measure of the anukrsti gacchha (16:4) = 4 is obtained.
"Anukattipadeṇa hade, paccaye paccayo du hodi terichche.
Paccayadhaṇūṇaṃ dravvaṃ, sagapadabhājidaṃ have ādi" ॥906॥
Meaning - The measure of the anukrsti gacchha is the chaya (division) given in the ascending chaya. And the measure of the prachaya-dhana (deducted quantity) from the total quantity of each time-related anukrsti is the measure of the first part of the anukrsti.
Visesartha - Here, by dividing the ascending chaya 4 of the anukrsti gacchha 4, (4/4) one is obtained, so that is known as the chaya of the anukrsti. And from the karana sutra "vyekapadardhaghnachchayaguṇo gacchha uttaradhanaṃ", deducting one from the gacchha (4-1) 3, its half is one and a half, multiplying it by the chaya 1, it becomes (1 1/2*1) and multiplying it by the gacchha, it becomes (1 1/2*4) 6, so that is known as the prachaya-dhana in the anukrsti. The 162 modifications related to the first time are the total quantity of the first time-related anukrsti. Deducting the prachaya-dhana 6 from it (162-6), 156 remain, dividing it by the anukrsti gacchha (4), (156/4) 39 come, so that is known as the measure of the modifications of the first part of the first time anukrsti.
"Ādimhi kame vaddadi, aṇukattissa ya chayaṃ tu terichche.
Idi uhadirijjaraṇā, adhapavatamhi karaṇamami" ॥907॥
Meaning - In the parts after the first, the chaya of the transverse form anukrsti increases by one in sequence, then the measure of the second and subsequent parts is known. In this way, both the ascending and transverse formations should be known in the descending activity.
Visesartha - The increase of one by one in the chaya of the transverse form anukrsti from the first part to the second and subsequent parts, that is, the chaya of the anukrsti increasing as 39, 40, 41, 42 in the second time, and 40, 41, 42, 43 in the second time, the measure should be known. The modifications related to the second time are the same as those related to the first time, 40, 41, 42. In the same way, by constructing the anukrsti formation in the third and subsequent times and knowing the measure of the modifications in the parts, the similarity with the modifications related to the descending times should be known. Both the ascending and transverse chaya formations are present in the descending activity. Just as the illustration was given through the support of the numbers, in the same way, the true statement should be known through the perspective of the meaning.
