Gommatasara Karmakanda-591
In the four natural उदयस्थान (places of arising), the 22nd and 23rd प्रकृति (nature) do not have सत्त्व (being). And in the 13 natural बन्धस्थान (places of binding), there are 8 natural उदयस्थान, and in the 9 natural बन्धस्थान, there are 7 natural उदयस्थान, so there is no 21st प्रकृति सत्त्वस्थान.
**Verse 677**
Even with 9 प्रकृति बन्ध (binding) in the अपूर्वकरणगुणस्थान (place of the quality of the non-recurring), there are three उदयस्थान with 65, 4, and 4 प्रकृति, yet there is no सत्त्व of the 23rd and 22nd प्रकृति. And with 5 प्रकृति बन्ध, there are two प्रकृति उदय, resulting in six सत्त्वस्थान: 28, 24, 21, 13, 12, and 11. This means that 28, 24, and 21 are सत्त्वस्थान in the उपशमश्रेणी (category of pacification), and 13, 12, and 11 are सत्त्वस्थान in the क्षपकश्रेणी (category of destruction).
**Verse 678**
With 4 प्रकृति बन्ध and two प्रकृति उदय, the सत्त्वस्थान are as previously mentioned: 28, 24, and 21 in the उपशमश्रेणी, and 13, 12, and 15 in the क्षपकश्रेणी. And with 4 प्रकृति बन्ध and one प्रकृति उदय, there are three सत्त्वस्थान in the उपशमश्रेणी: 28, 24, and 21, and three सत्त्वस्थान in the क्षपकश्रेणी: 11, 5, and 4.
**Verse 679**
With one प्रकृति उदय and three, two, or one प्रकृति बन्ध, there are three सत्त्वस्थान in the उपशमश्रेणी: 28, 24, and 21. And in the क्षपकश्रेणी, with one प्रकृति उदय and three प्रकृति बन्ध, there are two सत्त्वस्थान: 4 and 3. With one प्रकृति उदय and two प्रकृति बन्ध, there are three सत्त्वस्थान, and with one प्रकृति उदय and one प्रकृति बन्ध, there are two सत्त्वस्थान. There are also two सत्त्वस्थान with two and one प्रकृति.
**Special Note:**
In the सर्वबन्धप्रकृति (all-binding nature) of मोहनीयकर्म (delusion-causing karma), all four gati (paths) of मिथ्यादृष्टिजीव (false-seeing beings) bind the 22nd प्रकृति. These are called eight कूट (types) with their मिथ्यात्व (falsehood) and अनन्तानुबन्धी (infinitely connected) उदय (arising), with or without. Among them, there are four उदयस्थान with 10, 9, 8, and 7 प्रकृति, which are in sequence with respect to one जीव (being), but in different sequences with respect to many जीव.
