उच्चुव्वेल्लिदतेऊ वाऊ सेसे य वियलसयलेसु । उप्पण्णपढमकाले णीचं एवं हवे सत्तं ॥ ६३७ ॥
अर्थ - उच्चगोत्रकी उद्वेलनासे युक्त तेजकाय-वातकायजीवोंके मात्र नीचगोत्रका ही सत्त्व है। और ये दोनों मरणकर एकेन्द्रिय-विकलेन्द्रिय अथवा सकलेन्द्रियतिर्यञ्चोंमें उत्पन्न होते हैं तब अन्तर्मुहूर्त कालपर्यन्त एक नीचगोत्रका ही सत्त्व है पश्चात् उच्चगोत्रका बन्ध कर लेनेयर दोनोंका सत्त्व पाया जाता है ।
अथानन्तर गुणस्थानोंमें गोत्रकर्मके भंग कहते हैं
मिच्छादिगोदभंगा पण चटु तिसु दोणि अट्टठाणेसु । एक्केक्का जोगिजिणे दो भंगा होंति नियमेण ।। ६३८ ।। १
अर्थ - गुणस्थानोंकी अपेक्षा गोत्रकर्मके भंग मिध्यात्व और सासादनगुणस्थानमें क्रमसे पाँच और चार, मिश्र - असंग्रह यान स्थान दीदी, तसे संयोगीपर्यन्त आठगुणस्थानों में एक-एक और अयोगकेवलीके दो भंग होते हैं ऐसा नियमसे जानना |
विशेषार्थ - मिथ्यात्वगुणस्थानमें नीचगोत्रका बन्ध और उदय व सत्त्व दोनोंका अथवा नीचगोत्रका बन्ध, उच्चगोत्रका उदय एवं सत्त्व दोनोंका अथवा उच्चगोत्रका बन्ध-उदय तथा सत्त्व दोनोंका अथवा उच्चगोत्रका बन्ध, नीचगोत्रका उदय और सत्त्व दोनोंका अथवा नीचगोत्रका बन्ध-उदय एवं सत्त्व इसप्रकार पाँच भंग हैं। सासादनगुणस्थानमें मिथ्यात्वगुणस्थानसम्बन्धी नीचगोत्रके बन्ध-उदय-सत्त्वरूप अन्तिमभंगबिना शेष चारभंग हैं, क्योंकि तेजकाय वायुकाय जीवोंके सासादनगुणस्थान नहीं पाया जाता है। (सासादन मरकर तेजकाय वायुकाय में उत्पन्न नहीं होता और न वहाँ उच्चगोत्र की उद्वेलना ही होती है ।) मिश्र, असंयत और देशसंयतगुणस्थानमें उच्चगोत्रका बन्ध और उदय एवं सत्त्व दोनोंका अथवा उच्चगोत्रका बन्ध. नीचगोत्रका उदय एवं सत्व दोनोंका ऐसे दो-दो भंग हैं। प्रमत्तसे सूक्ष्मसाम्परायपर्यंत पांचगुणस्थानों में उच्चगोत्रका बन्ध-उदय एवं सव दोनोंका ऐसा १-१ भङ्ग है। आगे उपशान्तकपायक्षीणकषाय और सयोगकेवलीगुणस्थानमें बन्धका अभाव, उच्चगोत्रका उदय एवं सत्त्व दोनोंका ऐसा एक-एक ही भंग है। अयोगकेवलीगुणस्थानमें उच्चगोत्रका उदय और सत्य दोनोंका अथवा अन्तसमयमें उच्चगोत्रका उदय और सत्त्वरूप एक ऐसे दो भंग पाये जाते हैं।
