उदयकी प्रथमस्थितिके कालमें नपुंसकवेद, स्त्रीवेद और पुरुषवेद के क्षपणाखण्ड होते हैं। पुरुषवेद की क्षपणा के अन्तिमखण्डके चरमसमयपर्यन्त पुरुषवेदका उदय और बन्ध निरन्तर पाया जाता है, किन्तु उस समय नपुंसक या स्त्रीवेदके उदयका अभाव होता है।
तहाणे एक्कारस, सत्ता तिण्होदयेण चडिदाणं ।
सत्तणहं समग छिदी, पुरिसे छण्डं च णवगमस्थित्ति ।।५१४॥ अर्थ-स्त्रीवेद और नपुंसकयेदके क्षयके स्थानों में पुरुषवेद, ६ नोकषाय और चार सचलनकषाय इन ११ प्रकृतिरूप सत्त्वस्थान है। तीनों वेदोंमें से किसी भी वेदके उदयसहित श्रेणी चढ़नेवाले जीवके ६ नोकषाय और पुरुषवेदके पुरातनद्रव्यकी व्युच्छित्ति एक ही कालमें होती है, किन्तु विशेष यह है कि पुरुषवेदके उदयसहित श्रेणी चढ़नेवालेके पुरुषवेदके नूतन समयप्रबद्ध पाए जाते हैं इसलिये उसके ६ नोकषायकी ही सन्त्रव्यच्छित्ति होती है1 .... ... . ...
विशेषार्थ- पुरुषवेद के उदयसहित श्रेणी चढ़नेवालके अनिवृत्तिकरणगुणस्थानके सवेदभागके अन्तिभखण्डसे पूर्ववर्तीखण्डमें तथा स्त्रीवेद या नपुंसकवेदसे श्रेणीपर आरोहण करनेवाले जीवके अवेदभागमें स्त्री-नपुंसकवेदकी सत्ताका अभाव है अत: इन स्थानोंमें पुरुपत्रेद, ६ नोकपाय, संज्वलनकी चारकषाय इन ११ प्रकृतिरूप सत्त्वस्थान है तथा तीनों वेदोंमें से किसी एक वेदके उदयसे श्रेणी चढ़नेवालेके ६ नोकषाय और पुरुषवेदके पुरातन द्रव्यका इसप्रकार इन ७ प्रकृतिका युगपत् क्षय होता है, किन्तु पुरुपवेदसे श्रेणी चढ़नेवाले जीवके एकसमय कम दोआवलीप्रमाण नवकसमयप्रबद्ध और सज्वलनकी चारकषायसहित ५ प्रकृतिका सत्त्वस्थान है। अचलावली के शीतने पर वे नवक समयप्रबद्ध प्रतिसमय एक-एक फालि परमुख रूप से उदय होकर आवली काल में क्षय होते हुए एक समय कम दो आवली काल में सब उच्छिष्टावली मात्र निषेकों के साथ क्षय को प्राप्त होते हैं। उच्छिष्टावली-जो कर्म उदय को प्राप्त हैं उनके आवली मात्र निषेक, शेष रहे निषेक और जो कर्म उदय को प्राप्त नहीं हुए उनके आवली मात्र निषेकों को लांघकर स्थिति के अन्तिम काण्डक की अन्तिम फालि के पतन में आवली काल मात्र शेष रहे निषेक, वे क्षपणा बिना संक्रम विधान के द्वारा अन्य प्रकृतिरूप हो परमुख उदय द्वारा प्रतिसमय एक-एक निषेक क्रम से गल कर नष्ट होते हैं। इसका अभिप्राय यह है कि वेद के क्षपणाकाल में जो पुरुषवेद के नवक समयप्रबद्ध का सत्य शेष रहता है वह क्रोध क्षपणाकाल में क्रोध रूप परिणमन करके नष्ट होता है। इससे वहाँ पाँच का भी सत्त्व जानना । आगे क्षपकअनिवृत्तिकरणगुणस्थान में सत्त्वस्थानकी विशेषता दिखाते हैं
