गोम्मटसार कर्मकाण्ड - ४००
अशुभ, दुर्भग, दुःस्वर, अनादेय, अयशस्कीर्ति, असातावेदनीय, स्त्री-नपुंसकवेद, अरति और शोक ये ३४ प्रकृति सांतरबन्धी हैं, क्योंकि इन प्रकृतियों का बन्ध एक समय से लेकर अन्तर्मुहूर्त से कम काल पर्यन्त होता है। ' जैसे किसी समय नरकगति का बन्ध होता है, किसी समय अन्य गति का बन्ध होता है, किसी समय एकेन्द्रिय जाति का बन्ध होता है, किसी समय अन्य जाति का बन्ध होता है। इस प्रकार प्रकृतियाँ सान्तरबन्ध हैं।
सुरणरतिरियोरालियवेगुब्वियदुगपसत्थगदिवज्जं । परघाददुसमचउरं, पंचिंदिय तसदसं सादं ॥ ४०६ ॥
हस्सरदिपुरिसगोददु, सप्पडिवक्खम्मि सांतरा होंति ।
ट्टे पुण पडिवक्खे, णिरंतरा होंति बत्तीसा ॥ ४०७ ॥ जुम्मं ॥
अर्थ- देवद्विक, मनुष्यद्रिक, तिर्यञ्चद्विक, औदारिकद्विक, वैक्रियिकद्रिक, प्रशस्तविहायोगति, वज्रर्षभनाराचसंहनन, परघात, उच्छ्वास, समचतुरस्रसंस्थान, पञ्चेन्द्रिय जाति, त्रसादिदश, सातावेदनीय, हास्य- रति, पुरुषवेद, गोत्रकर्म की दो ये ३२ प्रकृतियाँ प्रतिपक्षी के रहते हुए सान्तरबन्धी हैं और प्रतिपक्षी के बंध का नाश होने पर निरन्तरबन्धी हैं अर्थात् ये प्रकृतियाँ उभयबन्धी हैं।
विशेषार्थ - देवगति - देवगत्यानुपूर्वी, मनुष्यगति मनुष्यगत्यानुपूर्वी, तिर्यञ्चगतितिर्यञ्चगत्यानुपूर्वी, औदारिकशरीर औदारिक अनोपान, वैक्रियिकशरीर वैक्रियिक अङ्गोपाङ्ग, प्रशस्तविहायोगति, वज्रर्षभनाराचसंहनन, परघात, उच्छ्वास, समचतुरस्त्र संस्थान, पञ्चेन्द्रियजाति, त्रस, बादर, पर्याप्त, प्रत्येक, स्थिर, शुभ, सुभग, सुस्वर, आदेय, यशस्कीर्ति, सातावेदनीय, हास्य, रति, पुरुषवेद, उच्चगोत्र और नीचगोत्र थे ३२ प्रकृतियाँ सान्तर व निरन्तर अर्थात् उभयबन्धी हैं। जैसेअन्य गति का जहाँ बन्ध पाया जाय वहाँ तो देवगति सप्रतिपक्षी है, क्योंकि वहाँ देवगति का बन्ध अन्तर्मुहूर्त से कम कालपर्यंत पाया जाता है तथा जब केवल देवगति का ही बन्ध होता है तो देवगति निष्प्रतिपक्षी है, क्योंकि यहाँ पर अन्य गति की बंधव्युच्छित्ति हो जाने से बन्ध नहीं पाया जाता है। इसलिए वह निरन्तरबन्धी है, इसी कारण देवगति को उभयबन्धी कहा है। इसी प्रकार अन्य प्रकृतियों का भी उभयरूपत्बन्ध जानना । उभयबन्धी प्रकृतियों का स्पष्टीकरण इस प्रकार है
