उत्कृष्टपरिणामयोग असंख्यातगुणा है, उससे असञ्जीपञ्चेन्द्रियनिर्वृत्तिपर्याप्तकका उत्कृष्टपरिणामयोग असंख्यातगुणा है, उससे सञ्जीपञ्चेन्द्रियनिवृत्तिपर्याप्तकका उत्कृष्टपरिणामयोग असंख्यातगुणा है ||२४||
एदेसिं ठाणाओ, पल्लासंखेज्जभागगुणिदकमा।
हेट्ठिमगुणहाणिसला, अण्णोण्णब्भत्थमेत्तं तु॥२४१॥ अर्थ : उपर्युक्त गाथाओं में कथित ८४ स्थानों में क्रम से पूर्वस्थानसे अनन्तरवर्तीस्थान पल्यके असंख्यातवेंभागगुणे होकर भी अपनी अधस्तनगुणहानिशलाका (नानागुणहानि) से उत्पन्न जो अन्योन्याभ्यस्तराशि है उस प्रमाण हैं तथा वही गुणकारशलाका है।
विशेषार्थ : यहाँ सर्वत्र गुणकार पल्योपमका असंख्यातवा भाग होकर भी वह अपने इच्छित योग से नीचे की नानागुणहानिशलाकाओं का विरलनकर दुगुणा करके उनकी अन्योन्याभ्यस्तराशिप्रमाण होता है।
पूर्वमें कथित जघन्य और उत्कृष्टरूप उपपादादि तीनों स्थानों के निरन्तर एकयोगस्थान के बीच में अन्य योगस्थान न हो इस प्रकार प्रवर्तनेका काल कितना है ? सो कहते हैं -
अवरुक्कस्सेण हवे,उववादेयंतवहिठाणाणं ।
एक्कसमयं हवे पुण, इदरेसिं जाव अट्ठोत्ति ॥२४२।। अर्थ : उपपादयोगस्थान और एकान्तानुवृद्धियोगस्थानोंके प्रवर्तनका काल जघन्य और उत्कृष्ट से एक समय है, क्योंकि उपपादयोगस्थान जन्मके प्रथमसमय में होता है। एकान्तानुवृद्धियोगस्थान समयसमयवृद्धिरूप भिन्न-भिन्न होते हैं तथा परिणामयोगस्थानका काल एक समयसे आठसमय पर्यन्त है।
अट्ठसमयस्स थोवा, उभयदिसासुवि असंखसंगुणिदा।
चउसमयोत्ति तहेव य, उवरि तिदुसमयजोग्गाओ ||२४३॥ अर्थ : आठसमय निरन्तर प्रवर्तनेवाले योगस्थान सबसे स्तोक हैं और सात से चारसमय तक प्रवर्तनेवाले उपरितन और अधस्तन ये दोनों ही प्रकार के स्थान असंख्यातगुणे हैं, किन्तु तीन और दो समयतक प्रवर्तनेवाले उपरितन स्थान असंख्यातगुणें हैं।
विशेषार्थ : द्वीन्द्रिय पर्याप्त जीव के जघन्य परिणाम योगस्थान से लगा कर संज्ञी पंचेन्द्रिय पर्याप्त जीव के उत्कृष्ट परिणाम योगस्थान पर्यन्त अन्तररूप योगस्थानों को छोड़ कर जो निरन्तर योगस्थान हैं उनकी 'जौ' नामक अन्न की आकार रचना काल की अपेक्षा करते हैं। जो योगस्थान निरन्तर १. ध.पु. १० पृ. ४१८-४११-४२० २.ध.पु. १० पृ. ४२० ३.ध.पु. १० पृ. ४२० व ४२३ या ४९८
