अर्थ - आहारकद्विक-तीर्थङ्कर और देवायुबिना शेष ११६ प्रकृतियोंका उत्कृष्टस्थितिबन्ध मिथ्यादृष्टिजीव ही करता है। यहाँ अर्थापति-न्याच सं यह अयं निकलता है कि आहारकादि चारप्रकृतियों का उत्कृष्टस्थितिबन्ध सम्यग्दृष्टिजीव ही करता है। आहारकद्विकादि चारप्रकृतियोंके बन्धस्वामियों में विशेषता कहते हैं -
देवाउगं पमत्तो आहारयमप्पमत्तविरदो दु।
तित्थयरं च मणुस्सो अविरदसम्मो समजेदि ॥१३६ ।। अर्थ - देवायुकी उत्कृष्टस्थितिको प्रमत्तगुणस्थानवालाजीव, आहारकद्विककी उत्कृष्टस्थितिको अप्रमत्तगुणस्थानवीजीव और तीर्थङ्कर प्रकृतिकी उत्कृष्टस्थितिको चतुर्थगुणस्थानवर्ती असंयतसम्यग्दृष्टिमनुष्य ही बाँधता है।
विशेषार्थ - देवायु की उत्कृष्टस्थितिको अप्रमत्तगुणस्थान में जाने के सम्मुख हुआ प्रमत्तगुणस्थानवाला जीव बाँधता है। यद्यपि अप्रमत्तगुणस्थान में भी देवायुका बन्ध होता है, तथापि सातिशय अप्रमत्त में तीव्रविशुद्धपरिणाम पाए जाते हैं अतः यहाँ देवायुका बन्ध न होकर निरतिशयअप्रमत्त में ही होता है, किन्तु उत्कृष्टस्थितिबन्ध नहीं होता है। आहारद्विककी उत्कृष्टस्थिति को अप्रमत्तगुणस्थानके सन्मुख हुआ अप्रमत्तगुणस्थानवर्ती संक्लेशपरिणामीजीव बांधता है। तीर्थङ्करप्रकृतिकी उत्कृष्टस्थिति को दूसरे या तीसरे नरकमें जाने के सम्मुख हुआ क्षयोपशमसम्यग्दृष्टि असंयतमनुष्य ही बाँधता है। अतः तीर्थङ्करप्रकृतिका बन्ध करने वाले नरकगति के अभिमुख असंयत-सम्यग्दृष्टिजीवके तीव्रसंक्लेश पाया जाता है। मिथ्यात्वमें जाने वाले सम्यादृष्टिमनुष्य के अन्तिमसमय में उत्कृष्टस्थितिबन्ध होता है।
अथानन्तर ११६ प्रकृतियों का उत्कृष्टस्थितिबन्ध मिथ्यादृष्टिजीव ही करता है इसका कथन दो गाथाओं से करते हैं -
णरतिरिया सेसाउं वेगुब्बियछक्कवियल सुहुमतियं । सुरणिरिया ओरालियतिरियदुगुजोवसंपत्तं ॥१३७ ॥ देवा पुण एइंदियआदावं थावरं च सेसाणं।
उक्कस्ससंकिलिट्ठा चद्गदिया ईसिमज्झिमया॥१३८॥ जुम्मं ॥ अर्थ - देवायुबिना शेष तीनआयु, वैक्रियकषट्क, विकलत्रय और सूक्ष्मादि तीन इन सभी का उत्कृष्टस्थितिबन्ध मनुष्य और तिर्यञ्चजीव ही करते हैं। औदारिकद्विक, तिर्यञ्चगति, तिर्यञ्चगत्यानुपूर्वी, उद्योत व असम्प्राप्तासृपाटिकासंहननक्री उत्कृष्टस्थिति मिथ्यादृष्टिदेव और नारकीजीच ही बाँधते हैं।
