अपने इस उत्कृष्ट प्रमाणवाले जीवों से युक्न सम्पूर्ण समय एक माथ नहीं प्राप्त होते ग्यतः कितने ही आचार्य ३०४ में से पांच कम करते हैं । पांच कम का यह व्याख्यान प्रवाहरूप में प्रारहा है, दक्षिगा है और प्राचार्य परम्परागत है। ३०४ का व्याख्यान प्रवाह रूप से नहीं आरहा है, वाम है, प्राचार्य परम्परा से अनागत है।'
प्रवेश की अपेक्षा पार समयों में उपशमक जीत्रों की संख्या सोलसयं चउधीसं तीसं छत्तीस तह य बावालं ।
अडवालं चउवणं चउधण्णं होंति उवसमगे ॥६२७॥' गाथा - निरन्तर आठ समय पर्यन्त उपशमश्रेणी पर चढ़ने वाले जीवों में अधिक से अधिक प्रथम समय में सोलह, दूसरे समय में चौबीस, तीसरे समय में तीस, चौथे समय में छत्तीस, पांचवें समय में बयालीस, छठे ममय में अड़तालीस, सातब समय में चौवन और अन्तिम अर्थात पाठवें ममय में भी चौवन जीव उपप्रम थेरणी पर चढ़ते हैं ।। ६२७।।
विशेषार्थ.. -उपशम श्रेणी के प्रत्येक गुणस्थान में एक समय में चारित्रमोहनीय का उपशम करता हुआ जघन्य से एक जीव प्रवेश करता है और उत्कृष्ट से चौवन जीव प्रवेश करते हैं। यह कथन सामान्य से है। विशेष की अपेक्षा आठ समय अधिक वर्ष पृथक्त्व के भीतर उपशमश्रेणी के योग्ग निरन्तर पास समय होते हैं उनमें से
प्र नय में एक जीव को प्रादि लेकर उत्कृष्टरूप से सोलह जीव तक उपशम श्रेणो पर बढ़ते हैं। दूसरे समय में एक जीब को आदि लेकर उत्कृष्ट रूप से चौबीस जीव तक उपशमश्रेणी पर चढ़ते हैं। तीसरे समय में एक जीव को प्रादि लेकर उत्कृष्ट रूप से तीस जीव तक उपणमधेशी पर चढ़ते हैं। चौथे समय में एक जीव को आदि लेकर उत्कृष्ट रूप से छत्तीस जीव तक उपशमधेरणी पर चढ़ते हैं। पांचवें समय में एक जीव को प्रादि लेकर उत्कृष्ट रूप से बयालीस जीव तक उपशमधणी पर चढ़ते हैं । छठे समय में एक जीव को आदि लेकर उत्कृष्ट रूप से अड़तालीम जीव तक उपशमश्रेणी पर चढ़ते हैं। सातवें और पाठवें इन दोनों समयों में एक जीव को आदि लेकर उत्कृष्ट रूप से चौवन-नौवन जीव तक उपशमश्रेणी पर चढ़ते हैं।
प्रवेश की अपेक्षा प्राय समयों में लपक जीवों की संख्या बत्तीसं अउदालं सदी वावत्तरी य चुलसीदी ।
छण्णउदी अठ्ठत्तरसयमद्रुत्तरसयं च खबगेसु ।।६२८॥ गाथार्थ-निरन्तर पाठ समय पर्यन्त क्षपकश्रेणी पर चढ़ने वाले जीवों में प्रथम समय में बत्तीस, दूसरे समय में अड़तालीरा, तीसरे समय में साठ, चौथे समय में बहतर, पाँचवें समय में चौरासी, छठे समय में छयानवे, सातवें समयं में एकसी ग्राट, पाटबे समय में एक सौ आठ जीव क्षपक-श्रेणी पर चढ़ते हैं, ऐसा जानना चाहिए ॥६२८।।
विशेषार्थ-पाठ समय अधिक छह महीना के भीतर क्षपकश्रेणी के योग्य आट समय होते हैं। सामान्य रूप से प्ररूपणा करने पर जघन्य से एक जीव क्षपक गुणस्थान को प्राप्त होता है तथा
