गाथार्थ -- कितने ही प्राचार्य उपशमन जीवों का प्रमाण तीन सौ कहते हैं, कितने ही प्राचार्य तीन सौ चार(३०४) और कितने ही प्राचार्य तीन सौ चार में से पांच कम (३०४---५) २९६ कहते हैं। यह उपशमक जीवों का प्रमाण है। क्षपक जीवों का प्रमाण इससे दूना होता है ।। ६२६।।
विशेषार्थ--पाठ समयों में संचित हए सम्पूर्ण जीवों को एकत्र करने पर सम्पूर्ण जीव छह सौ पाठ होते हैं। संख्या के जोड़ करने की विधि इस प्रकार है-पाठ को गच्छ रूप से स्थापित करके चौंतीस को आदि अर्थात मुख करके और बारह को उत्तर अर्थात् चय करके 'पवमेगण विहीणं" इत्यादि संकलन सूत्र के नियमानुसार जोड़ देने पर शपक जीवों का प्रमाण ६०८ प्राप्त होता है । (८-१-७७-२-३३४ १२ =४२, ४२१-३४ - ७६; ७६४-६०८)
उत्तरदलहय गच्छे पचयदलूणे सगादिमेस्थ पुणो ।
पक्विविय गच्छगुरिगदे उवसम-खवगाण परिमाणं ।।४४॥ - उत्तर अर्थात् चय को आधा करके और उसको गच्छ से गुरिणत करके जो लन्ध प्राप्त हो, उसमें से प्रचय का आधा घटा देने पर और फिर स्वकीय प्रादि प्रमाग को इसमें जोड़ देने पर उत्पन्न राशि को पुन: गच्छ से गुरिणत करने पर उपशमक व क्षपक जीवों का प्रमाण प्राता है।
क्षपकों की अपेक्षा प्रादि ३४, प्रचय १२, गच्छ ८ | उपशमकों को अपेक्षा प्रादि १७, प्रचय ६, गच्छ ८; प्रचय १२२ = ६; ६४५ गच्छ -- ४८; ४५-२ प्रचय का प्राधा == ४२, ४२+ ३४ आदि ७६; ७६४८ गच्छ%D६०८ क्षपक जीव । ६:२=३; ३४८=२४; २४--? = २१:२१+१७ = ३८; १८४८ -- ३०४ उपणमक जीव ] यह उत्तर मान्यता है । ६०८ में से १० निकाल देने पर दक्षिण मान्यता होती है।
चउरुत्तरतिण्णिसयं पमाणमुवसामगारण केई तु ।
तं चेव य पंचूर्ण भणंति केई तु परिमाणं ।।४६।। -कितने ही प्राचार्य उपशमक जीवों का प्रमाण ३०४ कहते हैं और कितने ही प्राचार्य पाँच कम ३०४ अर्थात् २६६ कहते हैं। एक-एक गुणस्थान में उपशमक और क्षपक जीवों का प्रमाण १७ है।
एक्केक्कगुणट्ठाणे अट्ठसु समएसु संचिदाणं तु । अट्ठसय सत्तरगउदी उवसम-खवगाण परिमाणं ॥४६॥'
- एक-एक गुणस्थान में प्राट समय में संचित हुए उपशमक और क्षपक जीवों का परिमारण पाठ सौ सत्तानवे है।
