है कि दोनों अवगाहनानों के आकार में समानता का नियम नहीं है, क्योंकि ग्रानुपूर्वी नाम कर्म के उदय से उत्पन्न होने वाले और संस्थान नाम कर्म के उदय से उत्पन्न होने वाले संस्थानों के एकत्व का विरोध है। मारणान्तिक समुद्घात करके विग्रह गति से उत्पन्न हुए जीवों के पहले समय में असंख्यात योजन-प्रमाण अवगाहना होती है, क्योंकि पहले फैलाये गये एक, दो और तीन दण्डों का प्रथम समय में संकोच नहीं होता।'
इस प्रकार स्वस्थान के दो भेद, समुद्घात के सात भेद और एक उपपाद, इन दस विशेषणों से यथासम्भव क्षेत्र की निरूपणा करते हैं।
कृष्णलेश्यावाले, नीललेश्यावाले और कापोतलेश्यावाले जीवों का स्वस्थान-स्वस्थान, वेदना समुद्धाल, कषाय समुद्घात, मारणान्तिक समुद्घात और उपपाद इन पदों की अपेक्षा सर्बलोक में अवस्थान है। क्योंकि तीन अशुभ लेश्या वाले जीव अनन्त हैं । अथवा एकेन्द्रियों की प्रधानता है।
शङ्का--स्वस्थान-स्वस्थान के साथ-साथ विहारवत् स्वस्थान का कथन क्यों नहीं किया ?
समाधान-तीन अशुभ लेश्याओं में एकेन्द्रिय जीवों की प्रधानता है, क्योंकि उनकी संध्या अनन्त है । एकेन्द्रिय जीवों में बिहारबत्स्वस्थान है नहीं, इसलिए उसका कथन स्वस्थान-स्वस्थान के साथ नहीं किया गया ।
शङ्का--वक्रियिक समुद्घात का कथन क्यों नहीं किया ?
समाधान- एकेन्द्रियों में बैऋियिक समुद्धात मात्र बादर पर्याप्त अग्निकायिक व वायुकायिक जीवों में होता है, जिनकी संख्या असंख्यात है। अतः इनका क्षेत्र सर्वलोक सम्भव नहीं है।
बिहारवत्स्वस्थान और वक्रियिक समुदघात की अपेक्षा तीन अशुभ लेश्यावाले जीवों का तीनों लोकों के असंख्यातवें भाग में, तिर्यग्लोक के संख्यातवें भाग में और अढ़ाई द्वीप से असंख्यातगुणे क्षेत्र में अवस्थान है। किन्तु वैक्रियिक समुद्घात की अपेक्षा उक्त जीव तिर्यग्लोक के असंख्यातवें भाग में रहते हैं । तीन अशुभ लेश्या में अन्य पद सम्भव नहीं हैं ।
शङ्का-प्रशुभ लेश्या में अन्य पद क्यों सम्भव नहीं हैं ?
समाधान- आहारक समुद्घात व तेजस समुद्घात संयमियों के होता है। संयम के साथ तीन अशुभ लेश्याओं का निषेध है । केवली-समुद्घात केवलियों के होता है जिनके मात्र शुक्ल लेश्या होती है । अत: ये तीन समुद्घात अशुभ लेश्या के साथ नहीं होते हैं ।
तेजो लेश्या वालों का और पालेश्या वालों का क्षेत्र-स्वस्थानस्वस्थान, विहारवत्स्वस्थान, वेदना समुद्घात, कषायसमुद्घात और वैक्रियिक समुद्धात पदों से तेजोलण्यावालं जीव नीन लोकों
