गाथार्थ - कृष्णश्या से संयुक्त जीव तीव्र क्रोधी, वैर को न छोड़नेवाला, गाली देने रूप स्वभाव से युक्त, दयाधर्म से रहित, दुष्ट और वश में नहीं आने वाला, यह कृष्णलेश्या का लक्षण है ||५०८ ||
विशेषार्थ - कृष्णलेश्या का कर्म कृष्णलेश्या से परिणत जीव निर्दय, झगड़ालू, रौद्र, चैर की परम्परा से संयुक्त, चोर, श्रसत्यभाषी, परदारा का अभिलाषी, मधुमांस व मद्य में आसक्त, जिन शासन के श्रवण में कान न देनेवाला और असंयम में मेरु के समान स्थिर स्वभाव वाला होता है ।" नील लेश्या: कर्म त्र लक्षण

गायार्थ- कार्य करने में मन्द बुद्धिविहीन, विवेक से रहित, विषयलोलुपता, अभिमानी, भायात्रारी, श्रालसी, अभेद्य, निद्रा व धोखा देने में अधिक धन-धान्य में तीव्र लालसा, ये नीललेश्या के लक्षण हैं ।।५१० ५११।।
विशेषार्थ- 'नीललेश्या' जीव को विवेकरहित, बुद्धिविहीन, मान व माया की अधिकता से सहित, निद्रालु, लोभसंयुक्त और हिंसा आदि कार्यों में अथवा कर्मों में मध्यम अध्यवसाय से युक्त करती है । * जो काम करने में मन्द हो अथवा स्वच्छन्द हो, जिसे कार्य व कार्य की खबर न हो, जो कला व चातुर्य से रहित हो, इन्द्रियविषयों का लम्पटी हो, तीव्र क्रोध-मान- माया-लोभ वाला हो, आलसी हो, कार्य करने में उद्यम रहित हो, दूसरे व्यक्ति जिसके अभिप्राय को सहसा न जान सकें, प्रतिनिद्रालु हो, दूसरों को ठगने में अतिदक्ष हो, वह नीललेश्या वाला है, ऐसा जाना जाता है।
