यथार्थं मन, वचन और काय का व्यापार ऋजु कहलाता है। तथा संशय, विपर्यय और अनध्यवसायरूप मन, वचन और काय का व्यापार श्रनृजु कहलाता है। अर्धचिन्तन या श्रचिन्तन का नाम अनव्यवसाय है । दोलायमान ज्ञान का नाम संशय है । अयथार्थ चिता का नाम विपर्यय है । विचार करके जो भुल गये हैं उसे भी वह ज्ञान जानता है। जिसका भविष्य में चित्तवन करेंगे उसे जानता है, क्योंकि अतीत और अनागत पर्यायों का अपने स्वरूप से जीव में गाया जाना सम्भव है ।"

मन:पर्ययज्ञानसंग के हो होगा है और संयत मनुष्य ही होते हैं अतः मन:पर्यय ज्ञानी मनुष्यलोक में ही होते हैं। मनुष्य नरलोक में ही होते हैं, बाहर नहीं होते, क्योंकि प्रतीत काल में भी पूर्व के वैरी देवों के सम्बन्ध से भी मानुषोत्तर पर्वत के आगे मनुष्यों का गमन नहीं है । मनः पर्यय ज्ञान के विषयक्षेत्र का कथन गा. ४५५ - ४५६ में किया जाएगा।
मन:पर्ययज्ञान तो मतिज्ञान पूर्वक ही होता है, किन्तु अवधिज्ञान अवधिदर्शन पूर्वक होता है
तियकालविसयरूवि चितितं वट्टमाण जीवेण ।
उजु मदिराणं जापदि भूदभविस्सं च विउलमदी ||४४१ ||
गाथार्थ - - वर्तमान जीव के द्वारा चिन्त्यमान त्रिकालविषयक रूपी द्रव्य को ऋजुमति मनः पर्ययज्ञानो जानता है, किन्तु विपुल-मति मन:पर्ययज्ञानी भूत और भविष्यत् द्रव्य को भी जानता है ।। ४४१ ।।
विशेषार्थ ऋजुमति मन:पर्ययज्ञान मन में चिन्तवन किये गये पदार्थ को ही जानता है, अचिन्तित पदार्थ को नहीं, किन्तु विपुलमति मन:पर्यय ज्ञान चिन्तित व प्रचिन्तित ( जिसका भूत में चितवन हो चुका या भविष्य में चिन्तवन होगा ) ऐसे कालवर्ती रूपी द्रव्य ( पुद्गल व संसारीजीव) ४ को भी जानता है।" इसका विशेष कथन गा. ४४८, ४४६ व ४५० में किया जाएगा।

The right conduct of mind, speech, and body is called **righteous**. And the conduct of mind, speech, and body that is characterized by doubt, error, and non-application is called **unrighteous**. But the **extensive mind-perception knowledge** knows the time-bound substances (**pudgala** and **samsaric soul**) that have been thought about or will be thought about (which have been thought about in the past or will be thought about in the future). This will be discussed in detail in verses 448, 446, and 450.

**Verse 442-444**

From which regions does **mind-perception knowledge** arise? The statement about the new substance, the shape of the mind, etc. is as follows: It arises from the **sanvanga-anga-sam-bhava-chinha** (sign of the arising of the body from the body), it is difficult to produce. It arises from the **death-birth** (death and rebirth) due to the **death-birth** (death and rebirth). It is like a **bad dream**, it is like a **broken mirror**. It arises from the **body-limb-arising** (arising of the body and limbs), it is like a **broken pot**. It arises from the **sense of touch**, and the other senses are also present there. It arises from the **absence of the body**, it is like a **dead body**.
