गाथा ४१०-४११
कहीं पर घनांगुल, कहीं प्रभाव का प्रसंग आएगा।
ऐसा नहीं कहना चाहिए, क्योंकि इस प्रकार यधस्तन क्षेत्र और काल इसलिए घनांगुल के प्रसंख्यातवें भाग कहीं पर घनांगुल के संख्यातवें भाग पर घनांगुल के वर्ग (संख्यात व असंख्यात घनांगुल) इस प्रकार जाकर कहीं पर जगच्छू रंगी कहीं पर जगत्प्रतर और कहीं पर असंख्यात जगत्प्रतरों के बीतने पर एक समय बढ़ता है, ऐसा कहना चाहिए, इसलिए उत्कृष्ट क्षेत्र और काल की उत्पत्ति में कोई विरोध नहीं है ।'
अवस्थित विरलन व श्रनवस्थित विरलन का अभिप्राय न वहार व अन वहार से है 'गोम्मटसार' में जिसे बहार व बहार कहा गया है उसी को घवल ग्रन्थ में अवस्थित विरलन व अनवस्थित विरलन कहा है।
उत्कृष्ट देशावधि के विषयभूत द्रव्य, क्षेत्र, काल भाव का प्रमाण कम्मइवग्गणं धुवहारेपिगिवारभाजिदे दयं । उक्कस्सं खेत्तं पुरण लोगो संपुण्णश्रो होदि ॥ ४१० ॥ पल्लसमकरण काले भावेण श्रसंखलोगमेत्ता हु । दव्यस्सय पज्जाया वरदेसोहिस्स विसया हु ॥ ४११ । ।
गाथार्थ - कार्मण वर्गरणा में एक बार ध्रुबहार का भाग देने से देशावधि के उत्कृष्ट द्रव्य का प्रमारण आता है । तथा सम्पूर्ण लोक उत्कृष्ट क्षेत्र का प्रमाण है। एक समय कम एक पल्योपम उत्कृष्ट काल है । संख्यात लोक प्रमाण द्रव्य की वर्तमान पर्यायें उत्कृष्ट भाव का प्रमाण है ।। ४१०-४११।।
विशेषार्थ - कार्मणवर्गरणा द्रव्य को अवस्थित विरलना (बहार ) से समखण्ड करके देने पर देशावधि का उत्कृष्ट द्रव्य होता है । देशावधि के द्विचरम भाव को तत्प्रायोग्य असंख्यात रूपों गुणित करने पर देशावधि का उत्कृष्ट भाव होता है। क्षेत्र के ऊपर एक झाकाशप्रदेश बढ़ने पर देशावधि का उत्कृष्ट क्षेत्र लोक होता है । द्विचरम काल के ऊपर एक समय का प्रक्षेप करने पर देशावधि का उत्कृष्ट काल एक समय कम पल्य होता है ।" देशावधिज्ञान का उत्कृष्ट क्षेत्र लोकप्रमाण है और उत्कृष्ट काल एक समय कम पल्य प्रमारण है।
विभंगज्ञान का जघन्य क्षेत्र तिर्यंचों और मनुष्यों में अंगुल के असंख्यातवें भाग प्रमाण है और उत्कृष्ट क्षेत्र सात प्रायद्वीप समुद्र है। (धवल पु. १३ पृ. ३२८ ) ।
