कोई उपाय नहीं है। इसलिए अवधिज्ञान निरुद्ध क्षेत्र को घनाकार रूप से स्थापित कर उसका निर्देण किया गया है।
शङ्का-यहाँ सूचीयोजन व प्रतरयोजन क्षेत्र का ग्रहण क्यों नहीं किया गया ?
समाधान नहीं, क्योंकि ऐसा होने पर जघन्य क्षेत्र की अपेक्षा यह असंख्यातगुणा हीन प्राप्त होता है। परन्तु ऐसा है नहीं, क्योंकि काल का भिन्न मुहूर्त प्रमाण उपदेश अन्यथा बन नहीं सकता। कथनाभिप्राय यह है कि अवधि का जघन्य काल कावली का असंख्यातवा भाग है और उससे यहाँ प्रकृत में आकर काल "भिन्नमुहूर्त' प्रमित हो गया। और इस तरह जघन्य काल से यहाँ का काल तो असंख्यातगुणा हो गया। तो जघन्य क्षेत्र [घनांगुल के असंख्यातवें भाग] से भी यहाँ का क्षेत्र (घनयोजन) नियम से असंख्यातगुणा होना ही चाहिए। इसी से जाना जाता है कि यह योजन धनयोजन ही है। अन्यथा सूची योजन तथा प्रतर योजन ही यहां का क्षेत्र मानने पर यहाँ का क्षेत्र उत्सेध घनांगुल के असंख्यातवें भाग रूप जघन्यावधि क्षेत्र से भी असंख्यात गुणाहीन हो जाएगा।
जिस अवधिज्ञान का क्षेत्र घनाकार रूप से स्थापित करने पर पच्चीस घनयोजन होता है, वह काल की अपेक्षा विसंतो' मामी कुछ एक दिवस है।
भरहम्मि प्रद्धमासं साहियमासं च जंबुदीवम्मि ।
यासं च मणुअलोए पासपुधतं च रुचगम्मि ।।४०६॥' गाथार्थ--जहाँ घनरूप भरतवर्ष क्षेत्र है, वहाँ काल प्राधा महीना है। जहाँ घनरूप जम्बूद्वीप क्षेत्र है वहां काल साधिक एक महीना है। जहाँ मनुष्यलोक क्षेत्र है वहाँ काल एक वर्ष है। जहाँ रुचकवर द्वीप क्षेत्र प्रमाण है वहाँ काल वर्ष पृथक्त्व है ।।४०६।।
विशेषार्थ - भरतक्षत्र पांच सौ बीस सही छह बटे उन्नीस (५२६१) योजन प्रमाण है, क्योंकि समुदाय में प्रवृत्त हुए शब्द वयवों में भी रहते हैं, ऐसा न्याय है, यहाँ इसका घनरूप भरतक्षेत्र लेना चाहिए, क्योंकि यहाँ कार्य में कारण का उपचार किया गया है ।
यहाँ काल अर्ध मास होता है। जिस अवधिज्ञान का क्षेत्र घनाकार रूप से स्थापित करने पर भरतक्षेत्र के घनप्रमाण होता है, वह काल की अपेक्षा अर्धमास की बात जानता है यह अभिप्राय है। यहाँ जम्बूद्वीप पद से एक लाख योजन के घनप्रमाण जम्बुद्वीप से प्रयोजन है । इतना क्षेत्र होने पर काल साधिक एक महीना होता है। संतालीस लाख योजन के घनप्रमाण मनुष्यलोक होता है। उस मनुष्यलोकप्रमाण क्षेत्र के होने पर काल एक वर्ष प्रमाण होता है। रुचकवर द्वीप के बाह्य दोनों पावों तक मध्यमयोजनों की रुचकबर संज्ञा है, क्योंकि अवयवों में प्रवृत्त हुए शब्द समुदाय में भी रहते हैं, ऐमा न्याय है। उसका घन भी रुचकवर कहलाता है, क्योंकि यहाँ कार्य में कारण का उपचार किया गया है। इतना क्षेत्र होने पर काल वर्ष पृथक्त्व प्रमाण होता है।
