है । प्रचेतन होने के कारण पृथिवी में स्थावर नामकर्म का उदय नहीं है फिर भी प्रथन क्रिया के कारण पृथिवी कही गई है ।
पृथिवीकाय - काय शब्द का अर्थ शरीर होता है। पृथिवी जीव जिस काय को छोड़कर अन्यत्र जन्म लेने को चला गया है, ऐसा जो पृथिवीकायिक का शरीर वह पृथिवीकाय है। जैसे मृत मनुष्य का शरीर । ऐसे ही ईंट आदि । यह भी अचेतन है । इसके स्थावर पृथिवीकाय नाम कर्मोदय नहीं है। इसकी बिराधना में हिंसा का दोष नही है ।
पृथिवीकायिक- जिसमें पृथिवी जीव विद्यमान है, वह पृथिवीकायिक है। इसकी विराधना में दोष है ।
पृथिवीजीव- जिसके पृथिवी स्थावरकाय नामकर्म का उदय है परन्तु अभी तक पृथिवी को अपना शरीर नहीं बनाया है, ऐसे विग्रहगति स्थित जीव को पृथिवीजीव कहते हैं। इसके कार्मण काययोग होता है ।
जल - जो जल प्रासोड़ित हुआ है, जहाँ-तहाँ फेंका गया है अथवा वस्त्र से गालित हुआ है, वह जल है ।
जलकाय -- जिस जलकायिक में से जीव नष्ट हो चुके हैं अथवा गर्म जल जलकाय है । जलकायिक- जलजीव ने जिस जल को शरीररूप से ग्रहण किया है, वह जलकायिक है । जलजीव - विग्रहगति में स्थित जीव जो एक, दो या तीन समय में जल को शरीर रूप से ग्रहण करेगा. वह जलजीव है ।
अग्नि-इधर-उधर फेंकी हुई अग्नि, जलादि संसिक्त अग्नि, प्रचुर भस्म से श्राच्छादित अग्नि, जिसमें थोड़ी सी उष्णता है, वह अग्नि है ।
अग्निकाय -- भस्म आदि अथवा जिस अग्निकायिक को अग्निजीव ने छोड़ दिया है, वह अग्निकाय है ।
अग्निकायिक- जिस अग्नि रूपी शरीर को अग्निजीव ने धारण कर लिया है, वह अग्निकायिक है ।
प्रमिजीव - जो जीव अग्नि रूपी शरीर को धारण करने के लिए जा रहा है विग्रह गति में स्थित ऐसा जीव प्रग्निजीव है ।
वायु - धूलि का समुदाय जिसमें है ऐसी भ्रमण करने वाली वायु वायु है ।
वायुका - जिस वायुकायिक में से जीव निकल गया है, ऐसी बायु का पुद्गल वायुकाय है । वायुकायिक- वायुजीव से युक्त वायु वायुकायिक है ।
