सीसा, चांदी, सोना, वज्र ( हीरा ), हरिताल, हिंगुल, मैनसिल, हरे रंगवाला सस्यक, अंजन, मूंगा, भोडल, चिकनी और चमकती हुई रेती, कर्केतनमरिण, राजवर्तकमणि, पुलकवर्ग मरिण, स्फटिकमरिंग, परागमणि, चन्द्रकान्तमरिण, बेडूर्यमणि, जलकान्तमणि सूर्यकान्तमरिण, गेरु, रुधिराक्षमणि, चन्दनगंधमणि, मरकतमरिंग, पुखराज, नीलमरिण और विद्र ुममणि ये सब पृथिवी के भेद हैं। इनके भेद से पृथिवीकायिक जीव भी छत्तीस प्रकार के हो जाते हैं ।

प्रोस, बर्फ, कुहरा, स्थूल विन्दु जय, सूक्ष्म बिन्दुरूप जल चन्द्रकान्तमणि से उत्पन्न हुआ जल भरना प्रादि से उत्पन्न हुआ जल, समुद्र, तालाब और धनवात प्रादि से उत्पन्न हुमा घनोदक अथवा हरदणु अर्थात् तालाब और समुद्र आदि से उत्पन्न हुआ जल तथा घनोदक अर्थात् मेघ आदि से उत्पन्न हुआ जल ये सब जिनशासन में जलकायिक जीव कहे गये हैं । 3
इंगाल- जाल अच्ची-मुम्मुर सुद्धागणी य प्रगणी य । अष्णे वि एवमाई तेउबकाया समुद्दिट्ठा ॥"
-- अंगार, ज्वाला, अचि (अग्निकरण, स्फुलिंग), सुर ( कण्डे की अग्नि ), शुद्ध - अग्नि (बिजली या सूर्यकान्त आदि से उत्पन्न हुई अग्नि ), धूमादि सहित सामान्य ग्रग्नि । ये सब अग्निकाय जीव कहे गये हैं।
