१३६/गो. सा. जीवकाण्ड
गाथा ६३ उत्पन्न होते हैं । ' देव तथा भोगभूमिया द्रव्य से व भाव से स्त्री व पुरुषवेदी ही होते हैं । इस सम्बन्ध में तत्त्वार्थसूत्र अध्याय २ के निम्नलिखित सूत्र भी द्रष्टव्य हैं
"नारकसम्मूच्छिनो नपुसकानि ॥५०॥ न देवाः ॥५१॥ शेषास्त्रिवेदाः ॥५२॥"
नोकषाय चारित्रमोहनीयकर्म के भेद नपुसकवेदोदय से भावनपुंसकवेद होता है और अशुभनामकर्मोदय से द्रव्य नपुसकवेद होता है। नारकी व सम्मूर्छन; इन जीवों के नपुंसकवेद चारित्रमोहनीयकर्म का भी उदय होता है और अशुभ नाम कर्म का भी उदय होता है अतः नारकी व सम्मूर्छन जीव भाव से व द्रव्य से नसकवेदी ही होते हैं, स्त्रीवेदी या पुरुषबेदी नहीं होते । देव और भोगभूमिया शुभगति बाले जीव हैं। वे स्त्री-पुरुष सम्बन्धी सातिशय सुख का अनुभव करते हैं, अत: उनमें नपुसक्रवेद नहीं होता। शेष मनुष्य-तिर्यंचों अर्थात् कर्मभूमिज मनुष्य-तिथंचों में स्त्री-पुरुषनपुसक ये तीनों बंद होते हैं। वेद का अर्थ लिंग भी है। द्रव्यलिङ्ग और भावलिङ्ग के भेद से वह दो प्रकार है। नामकर्मोदय से होने वाले योनि, मेहनादि को द्रलिंग कहते हैं। चारित्रमोहनीयकर्मरूप वेदोदय से भावलिंग होता है 13 अन्यत्र भी कहा है
एइंदिय विलिदिय णारय सम्मुच्छिमा य खलु सन्चे। लेने गया ने गाया होंति णियमा दु॥७॥ वेवा य भोगभूमा असंखवासाउमा मणुयतिरिया । ते होंति बोसु वेदेसुणत्थि तेसि तदियवेदो ॥८॥ पंचिदिय वु सेसा सण्णि असण्णी य तिरिय मणुसा य ।
ते होंति इस्थिपुरिसा णसगा चावि बेहि ॥६॥ -एकेन्द्रिय-पृथ्वी, जल, अग्नि, वायु और वनस्पतिकायिक ; विकलेन्द्रिय-द्वीन्द्रिय, त्रीन्द्रिय, चतुरिन्द्रिय ; नारक अर्थात् सातों पृथ्वियों के नारकी ; सर्व सम्मूर्छन-सम्मूर्च्छन संज्ञी व सम्मुर्छन असंज्ञी पंचेन्द्रियों के नियम से नपुसकबेद ही होता है। अर्थात् सर्व एकेन्द्रिय, सर्वविकलेन्द्रिय, सर्वनारको और सर्व सम्मूर्च्छनसंज्ञी-असंज्ञी पंचेन्द्रियों के वेद की अपेक्षा नियम से नपुसकवेद ही होता है। देवभवनवासी, वानव्यन्तर, ज्योतिषी, कल्पबासी; भोगभूमिज तिर्यंच व मनुष्य, असंख्यातवर्ष की आयुवाले भरत-ऐरावतक्षेत्र सम्बन्धी सुषमा-सुषमादि तीन भोगभूमिकालों में उत्पन्न होने वाले मनुष्य और तिर्यंच तथा सर्वम्लेच्छखण्डों में उत्पन्न होने वाले मनुष्य-तिर्यंच स्त्री व पुरुष इन दो वेदवाले ही होते हैं, उनमें तृतीय अर्थात् नपुसकवेद नहीं होता। शेष पंचेन्द्रियों में अर्थात् देव-नारकी तथा भोगभुमिज, असंख्यातवर्षायुष्क [भोगभूमि के प्रतिभाग में उत्पन्न होने वाले और म्लेच्छखंडों में उत्पन्न जीवों के सिवाय शेष बचे पंचेन्द्रिय संज्ञी व असंज्ञी जीवों में (मनुष्य-तियंत्रों में) स्त्री-पुरुष-नपुसक ये तीनों ही द्रव्मवेद एवं भाववेद पाये जाने हैं। १. कर्मभूमि में चक्रवर्ती, द्र वगैरह बड़े राजाओं के सैन्यों में मलमूत्रों का जहाँ क्षेपण करते हैं, ऐसे स्थानों पर वीर्य. नाक का मल, कफ, कान और दांतों का माल और मत्यन्त अपवित्र प्रदेश इनमें तो तत्काल उत्पन्न होते हैं। जिनका शरीर अंगुल के असंख्यात भाग मात्र रहता है और जो जन्म लेने के बाद शीघ्र नष्ट होते हैं और जो लध्यपर्याप्तक होते हैं, उनको सम्मूच्र्छन मनुष्य कहते हैं । ज. मि. कोश माग ४ पृ. १२८। २. म.प्र. टीका के प्राधार से । ३. तत्त्वार्थ राजवातिक के प्राधार से। ४. मूलाचार पर्याप्ति अधिकार । ५. श्री वसुनन्दिप्राचार्यकृत मूलाचार टीका ।
