शङ्का - सप्रतिष्ठित प्रत्येकवनस्पति और अप्रतिष्ठित प्रत्येक वनस्पति से क्या अभिप्राय है ?
समाधान - जिन प्रत्येक वनस्पतियों के प्राय साधारणशरीर अर्थात् निगोद रहता है वे प्रतिष्ठित - प्रत्येक शरीर वनस्पति हैं। जो साधारण अर्थात् निगोदरहित हैं वे अप्रतिष्ठित प्रत्येकवनस्पति हैं । "

'गर्भजमनुष्य कर्मभूमिज श्रार्य व म्लेच्छ तथा भोगभूमिज व कुंभोगभूमिज इस प्रकार मनुष्यों के चार भेद हैं । इनमें से प्रत्येक पर्याप्त व निर्ऋत्यपर्याप्त होते हैं । अतः गर्भजमनुष्यों के आठ भेद और एक लब्ध्यपर्याप्त सम्मूर्च्छन मनुष्य; ये कुल ( ६+१) ६ जीवसमास मनुष्यसम्बन्धी जानने चाहिए | देव पर्याप्त व निर्वृत्यपर्याप्त के भेद से २ प्रकार के तथैव नारकी भी पर्याप्त व निर्ऋत्यपर्याप्त के भेद से दो प्रकार के हैं। इसप्रकार देव नारकीसम्बन्धी ४ जीवसमास होते हैं। सर्व मिलकर समस्त जीवसमास स्थान लियंचों के ८५, मनुष्यों के ६, देवों के २ नारकियों के २ ( ६५ +९२+२) कुल ६८ होते हैं ।
जीवसमाससम्बन्धी तीन प्रक्षेपक गाथाएँ
सुवरकुजलसेवा freeaagrata - णिगोव- धूलिदरा । पदिठिवर पंचपत्तिय विलतिपुण्णा पुष्णयुगा ॥१॥ इगिविगले इगिसीवी श्रसणिसरिगगयजलथलखगाणं । गभभवे सम्पुच्छे इतिगतिभोगथलखे घरे दो दो ||२|| प्रज्जबसम्मुगमे मलेच्छभोगतिय कुणरपणतीस सये ।
सुररिये वो दो इवि जीवसमाला हु छहियचारिस ||३||
गाथार्थ शुद्ध पृथ्वीकायिक, स्वरपृथ्वीकायिक, जलकायिक, तेजकायिक, वायुकायिक, नित्यनिगोद और वर्गसिनिगोद इनके बादर और सूक्ष्म पाँच प्रकार की सप्रतिष्ठित और प्रप्रतिष्ठित प्रत्येक वनस्पति तथा free मे सर्वं पर्याप्त और दो प्रकार के अपर्याप्त (निर्ऋत्यपर्याप्त लयपर्याप्त होते हैं। इस प्रकार एकेन्द्रिय
विकलेन्द्रिय के १ जीवसमास, संज्ञी और प्रसंगी जलचर थलचर नभचर, इनमें भी गमंजों के दो और सम्मूर्छन 'के तीन भेद, तीन प्रकार की भोगभूमियों में थलचर-खेचर के दो-दो । भार्यखण्ड में मनुष्य सम्मूच्छे होते हैं । ग्राण्ड के स्लेच्छखंड के तीन भोगभूमि के एक कुभोगभूमि के इस प्रकार गर्भज मनुष्यों के छह भेदों में पर्याप्त निर्याप्त ये दो ही प्रकार होते हैं । १३५ प्रकार के देव नारकियों में भी ( पर्याप्त निस्यपर्याप्त ) ये दो-दो होते है । इस प्रकार सब मिलकर ४०६ जीवसमास होते हैं ।। १-३||
विशेषार्थ - मिट्टी ग्रादि शुद्ध पृथ्वीकायिक है और पाषाण प्रावि खरपृथ्वीकायिक हैं। इस प्रकार पृथ्वीकायिक के दो भेद, जलकायिक, प्रतिकायिक, वायुकायिक, नित्यनिगोदसाधारण वनस्पत्ति और चतुर्गतिनिगोवसाधारण वनस्पति इन सातों के बादर व सूक्ष्म के भेद से ( ७२ ) चौदह भेद: पाँच (वृण, बेल, कन्दमूल, नींबूसंतरे श्रादि के छोटे वृक्ष, श्रम श्रादि के बड़े वृक्ष, थे ) प्रकार की प्रत्येक वनस्पतिकायिक प्रतिष्ठित और प्रतिष्ठित
