गाथा ७६-८०
चारों ओर से एकत्र होकर जन्म लेने वाले जीव के शरीरम्प होने का नाम सम्मूर्छन है और सम्मूर्छन से जन्म लेने वाले जीव सम्मूर्छन जीव हैं।'
शङ्का-गर्भज किसे कहते हैं ?
समाधान-जन्म लेने वाले जीव के द्वारा रज और वीर्यरूप पिण्ड को अपने शरीररूप से परिणमाने का नाम गर्भ है । उस गर्भ से उत्पन्न होने वाले गर्भज कहलाते हैं । अर्थात् माता के गर्भ से उत्पन्न होने वाले जीव गर्भजन्मवाले हैं।
सम्मूच्र्छन तिर्यंचों के २३ भेदों के ६६ जीवसमास होते हैं । वे २३ भेद इस प्रकार हैं -सूक्ष्म धबादर पृथ्वीकायिक के दो, सक्ष्म ब बादर जलकायिक २, सूक्ष्म व बादर अग्निकायिक २, सूक्ष्म व बादर वायुकायिका २, सूक्ष्म व बादर नित्यनिगोद-साधारणवनस्पति कायिक २, सूक्ष्म व बादर चतुर्गतिनिगोद साधारण वनस्पतिकायिक २, प्रतिष्ठितप्रत्येक बनस्पतिकामिन बाबर है, अप्रतिष्ठित प्रत्येक बनस्पति बादर ही है १, इस प्रकार एकेन्द्रिय स्थावरों के १४ भेद होते हैं। शंख-सीप आदि द्वीन्द्रिय, कन्ध-चींटी आदि श्रीन्द्रिय, डाँस मच्छर प्रादि चतरिन्द्रिय ये ३ विकलेन्द्रिय तिर्यंच । कर्मभूमिज जलचर संज्ञी व असंज्ञी पंचेन्द्रिय तिर्यच २, कर्मभूमिज नभचर संजी व असंज्ञी पंचेन्द्रिय तिर्यंच २, कर्मभूमिज स्थल चर संज्ञी व असंजी पंचेन्द्रिय तिर्यंच २ इस प्रकार कर्मभूमिज पंचेन्द्रिय तिर्यचों के ६ भेद । एकेन्द्रिय के १४, विकलत्रय के ३ प्रौर पंचेन्द्रिय के ६ ये सब मिलकर (१४+३+६=१२३ भेद सम्मूच्र्छन तिर्यंचों के होते हैं। इनमें से प्रत्येक पर्याप्त, नित्यपर्याप्त और लब्ध्यपर्याप्त ऐसे तीन प्रकार के हैं । इसलिए २३ को इन तीन से गुणा करने पर (२३४३) सम्मूछनतिर्यंचों के ६६ जीवसमास होते हैं। इनमें गर्भजतिर्यचों के १६ भेद मिला देने पर तिर्यचसम्बन्धी कुल ८५ जीवसमास होते हैं । गर्भजतिर्यच सम्बन्धी १६ भेद इस प्रकार हैं—मछली आदि कर्मभूमिज गर्भज जलचर संजीअसंज्ञी पंचेन्द्रिय तिर्यंच २, हिरण प्रादि-कर्मभुमिज-गर्भज-स्थलचर-संजी व असंज्ञी पंचेन्द्रिय तिर्यंच , पक्षी आदि कर्मभूमिज गर्भज नभचर संज्ञी व असंज्ञी पंचेन्द्रियतिर्यंच २, भोगभूमिज स्थलचर गर्भज संज्ञी ही होता है अतः उसका १ भेद, भोगभूमिज नभचर तिर्यंच भी संजी ही होता है इसलिए उसका भी एक (१) ही भेद । ये सभी तिर्यंच पर्याप्त और नित्यपर्याप्त के भेद से दो-दो प्रकार के हैं, प्रतः गर्भज तिर्यचों के (८x२) १६ भेद हो जाते हैं।
शङ्का-निगोद किसे कहते हैं ?
समाधान--जो शरीर अनन्तानन्त जीवों को स्थान देता है वह निगोदशरीर है । 3 अभिप्राय यह है कि जिस एक शरीर में अनन्तानन्त जीव रहते हैं वह निगोद शरीर है।
१. सं समन्तात् मूर्च्छनं जायमान जीयानुप्राहकाणां जीवोपकाराणां शरीराकार-परिणमनयोग्यपुद्गलस्कन्धानां समुच्छ यरणं तस्विद्यते येषां ते सम्भूच्नशरीराः । (स्वामिकार्तिकेयानुप्रेक्षा) गा. १३०टीका । २. जायमानजीवेन शुक्रशोरिंगतरूपपिण्डस्य गरणं शरीरत योपादान गर्मः ततो जाता ये गर्भजा; तेषां गर्भजानां जन्म उत्पनिर्देषां ने गभंजन्मानः मातुगर्मसमुत्पन्ना इत्यर्थः। (स्वा. का. अनु. गा. १३०) ३.
