आदिपुराणम् आदावशुच्युपादानमशुच्यवयवात्मकम् । विश्वाशुचिकरं पापं दुःखदुश्चेष्टितालयम् ॥१८९॥ निरन्तरश्रवोत्कोथनवद्वारशरीरकम् । कृमिपुञ्जचिताभस्मविष्टानिष्ठं विनश्वरम् ॥१०॥ तदध्युष्य जडो जन्तुस्तप्तः पञ्चन्द्रियाग्निमिः । विश्वेन्धनैः कुलिङ्गीव भूयोऽयात् कुत्सितां गतिम् ॥ साऽऽशाखनिः किलात्रैव यत्र ''विश्वमणूपमम् । तां पुपूर्षुः किलाद्याहं धनैःसंख्यातिबन्धनैः ॥ 'यदादाय भवेज्जन्मी यन्मुक्त्वा मुक्तिभागयम् । तद्याथात्म्यमिति ज्ञात्वा कथं पुष्णाति धीधनः ॥ हा हतोऽसि चिरं जन्तो मोहेनाद्यापि ते यतः । नास्ति कायाशुचिज्ञानं तत्त्यागः क्वातिदुर्लमः ॥ दुःखी सुखी सुखी दुःखी दुःखी दुःख्येव केवलम् । 'धन्यधन्योऽधनो धन्यो निर्धनो निर्धनः सदा ॥ एवंविधैस्त्रिमिर्जन्तुरीप्सितानीप्सितैश्चिरम् । चतुर्थ भङ्गमप्राप्य बम्भ्रमीति भवार्णवे ॥११६॥ "यां वध्ययमसौ वष्टि परं वष्टि स चापराम् । साऽपि वटयपरं कष्टमनिष्टेष्ट परम्परा ॥१७॥
होकर इतने दिन तक शरीर, संसार और भोगोंकी असारता नहीं देखी यह बड़े खेदकी बात है ॥१८८॥ प्रथम तो यह शरीर अपवित्र उपादानों (माता-पिताके रज वीर्य) से बना है, फिर इसके सब अवयव अपवित्र हैं, यह सबको अपवित्र करनेवाला है, पापरूप है और दुःख देनेवाली खोटी-खोटी चेष्टाओंका घर है ।।१८९।। इसके नौ द्वारोंसे सदा मल-मूत्र बहा करता है और अन्तमें यह विनश्वर शरीर कीड़ोंका समूह, चिताकी राख तथा विष्ठा बनकर नष्ट हो जानेवाला है ॥१९०।। ऐसे शरीरमें रहकर यह मूर्ख प्राणो, जिनमें संसारके सब पदार्थ ईधन रूप हैं ऐसी पाँचों इन्द्रियोंकी अग्नियोंसे तपाया जाकर कुलिंगी जोवके समान फिरसे नीच गतियों में पहुँचता है ॥१९१॥ जिसमें यह सारा संसार एक परमाणुके समान है ऐसा वह प्रसिद्ध आशारूपो गढ़ा इसी शरीरमें है, इसी आशारूपो गढ़ेको मैं आज थोड़े-से धनसे पूरा करना चाहता हैं ॥१६२।। जिस शरीरको लेकर यह जीव जन्म धारण करता है -संसारी बन जाता है और जिसे छोड़कर यह जीव मुक्त हो जाता है इस प्रकार शरीरकी वास्तविकता जानकर भी बुद्धिमान् लोग न जाने क्यों उसका भरण-पोषण करते हैं ।।१९३॥ हे जीव, खेद है कि तू मोहकर्मके द्वारा चिरकालसे ठगा गया है, क्योंकि तुझे आजतक भी अपने शरीरकी अपवित्रताका ज्ञान नहीं हो रहा है, जब यह बात है तब अत्यन्त दुर्लभ उसका त्याग भला कहाँ मिल सकता है ।।१६४॥ इस संसारमें जो दुःखी हैं वे सुखी हो जाते हैं, जो सुखी हैं वे दुःखी हो जाते हैं और कितने ही दुःखी दुःखी ही बने रहते हैं इसी प्रकार धनी निर्धन हो जाते हैं, निर्धन धनी हो जाते हैं और कितने ही निर्धन सदा निर्धन ही बने रहते हैं। इस तरह यह जीव जो सुखी है वह सुखी ही रहे और जो धनी है वह धनी ही बना रहे यह चौथा भंग नहीं पाकर केवल ऊपर कहे हुए तीन तरहके भंगोंसे ही संसाररूपी समुद्र में चिरकाल तक भ्रमण करता रहता है। ॥१९५-१९६।। यह पुरुष जिस स्त्रीको चाहता है वह स्त्री किसी दूसरे पुरुषको चाहती है, जिसको वह चाहती है वह भी किसी अन्य स्त्रीको चाहता है इस प्रकार यह इष्ट अनिष्टको

I want to fill this fortress of hope with a little wealth today. ||192|| Knowing the true nature of the body, which this being takes on to be born into the world and which it abandons to attain liberation, why do intelligent people still nourish it? ||193|| Alas, you have been deceived for a long time by the karma of delusion, for you still do not know the impurity of your body. If this is the case, how can you find the extremely rare abandonment of it? ||194|| In this world, those who are unhappy become happy, those who are happy become unhappy, and many remain unhappy. Similarly, the wealthy become poor, the poor become wealthy, and many remain poor forever. In this way, this being, whether happy or wealthy, does not attain the fourth state and continues to wander in the ocean of existence, bound by the three states mentioned above. ||195-196|| This man desires a woman, that woman desires another man, and the one she desires also desires another woman.
