જેમ અશોક અને પ્રિયદર્શિન વચ્ચેનો ભેદ અને ભ્રમ કેડી નંખાયો છે, તેમ પ્રથમ પરિશિષ્ટમાં સુદર્શન તળાવની રચનાનું કારણ તથા તેના કર્તા રૂદ્રદામન* ક્ષત્રપને ગણવામાં આવ્યા છે તે બન્ને બિનાનું સ્વરૂપ ઉથલાવી નંખાયું છે.
પુ. ૨, પૃ. ૨૧. પ્રશસ્તિ . * એ ભેદ ને ભ્રમ ફેડી નાંખવાની ભ્રાંતિ ત્યાં સુધી છે જ્યાં સુધી અશોકના શિલાલેખે પર દષ્ટિપાત” અને “મારા શશીત્તન' માં મોસ્તો મુનિવર્સિટીના લૉ શોનો લેખ વાંચ્યું નથી. એ બે વાંચે પછી તેને શો જવાબ છે ? ડે. સ્ત્રીને કે જે લખે છે તે આ છે –
When Asoka was king Bindusara's Viceroy in the Takshasila country, and it is found in the Aramic inscription which Sir John found at Sirkap.
According to the late Professor Andreas this record mentions a certain Romedata, evidently an Iran. ian, as 'town-friend' of Nagaruta, praises his (zeal, and also gives the name of the Governor or Viceroy Priyadarsi.
Priyada srhi is of course the well-known disignation of the later emperor Asoka and Romedata must have been his chief official in a place called Nagaruta.

भारतीय अनुशीलन, पृ. ७ * આ ભ્રાંતિ પણ મારું તાજેતરમાં પ્રકટ થના “મહાક્ષત્રપ રુદ્રતા નામનું પુસ્તક પ્રકટ થયું નથી ત્યાં સુધી જ રહેશે. પછી સુદર્શન તળાવની અને કદામાની બન્નેની ભ્રાંતિ દૂર થઈ જશે, એવી આશા રાખું છું.
