યોગદૃષ્ટિસમુચ્ચય
અવિનાશી છે. એવા ભાવનું. આ પ્રસ્તુત પક્ષપાત થકી આ ક્રિયાદિક બુધેાએ તત્ત્વનીતિથી ભાવવા યેાગ્ય છે.
ઉપરમાં જે સૂર્ય-અદ્યોતનું દૃષ્ટાંત આપ્યું તેને અહીં સ્પષ્ટ કર્યું” છે:-ખદ્યોત નામનું એક નાનકડુ· જીવડું, કે જેને આગીએ પણ કહે છે, તે રાત્રીના ભાગમાં ચમકે છે. તેનું જે પ્રકાશરૂપ તેજ છે, તે સ્વરૂપથી અલ્પ-થેડુ' અને વિનાશી ાય છે. આગીએ ઘડી ઘડી ચમકે છે, તગતગે છે, જેમાં તે પેાતે પણ ખરાખર દેખાતા નથી એવા ક્ષણભર મંદમંદ ચમકારા કરે છે, અને પાછા ક્યાંય વિલીન થઈ જાય છે. પણ સૂર્યનું પ્રકાશમય તેજ એથી વિપરીત–ઉલટું છે. સૂર્યાંનુ તેજ ઘણું અને અવિનાશી હાય છે. તે એકસરખા ઝળહળાટ કરે છે, ઝગઝગે છે,—જેમાં સમસ્ત વિશ્વ પદાર્થ ખરાખર પ્રકાશિત થાય છે, એવે અસાધારણુ તેજસ્વી ને અવિનાશી પ્રકાશ પાથરે છે, અને આમ અખંડપણે દીર્ઘ કાળ સુધી તે તેજોનિધિ પ્રકાશ્યા કરે છે. આમ આ લેાકપ્રસિદ્ધ દૃષ્ટાંત છે.
કયાં સૂર્ય ? કયાં ખદ્યોત ?
આ દૃષ્ટાંત ઉપરથી બુધજનાએ, પ્રાજ્ઞજનાએ, વિવેકી સજ્જનાએ તત્ત્વનીતિથી પરમાર્થ વિચારવા ચેાગ્ય છે–ભાવવા યેાગ્ય છે. ભાવિષેાણી યંત્રવત્ જડપણે કરાતી દ્રવ્ય ક્રિયા ખદ્યોત સમી હેાઇ, તેનું તેજ અલ્પ અને વિનાશી છે; અને ભાવરૂપ તાત્ત્વિક પક્ષપાત સૂર્ય સમેા હાઈ, તેનું તેજ અહુ અને અવિનાશી છે. દ્રષ્ય ક્રિયા આગીઆની જેમ ઘડી ઘડી ચમકે છે, તગતગે છે, ઝાંખા પ્રકાશ કરે છે, જેમાં પેાતાને પેાતાનુ સ્વરૂપ પણ દેખાતું નથી એવા ક્ષણિક મદ મંદ ચમકારો કરે છે, અને કયાંય વિલીન થઈ જાય છે, એનેા પત્તો મળતા નથી. પણ પ્રસ્તુત ભાવ તા સૂર્યની પેઠે એકસરખા અસાધારણ ઝળહળાટ કરે છે—ઝગઝગે છે, જેમાં પેાતાનું આત્મસ્વરૂપ તે શું પણ સમસ્ત વિશ્વસ્વરૂપ પ્રકાશિત થાય એવા અસાધારણ તેજસ્વી ને અવિનાશી જ્ઞાનપ્રકાશ પાથરે છે; અને આમ અખંડપણે તે અવિનાશી તેજોનિધિરૂપ ભાવ પ્રકાશ્યા કરે છે. આમ અનંત ને અવિનાશી તેજોમય સૂર્યની સમક્ષ અલ્પ ને વિનાશી તેજના ચમકારા કરતું આગીઆ જેવું જંતુનુ જેટલુ ઝાંખુ લાગે છે; તેટલું જ અનંત ને અવિનાશી તેજોમય જ્ઞાનપ્રકાશ પાથરતા ભાવની સમક્ષ, અલ્પ ને વિનાશી ચમકારા કરતું આખુ દ્રવ્ય ક્રિયાચક્ર આંખું લાગે છે; માટે તાત્ત્વિક પક્ષપાતરૂપ શુદ્ધ ભાવની અપેક્ષાએ દ્રવ્ય ક્રિયા કઇ ગણત્રીમાં નથી. ઇત્યાદિ અથ ભાવવા યેાગ્ય છે.

The visible action shines, flickers, and glows every now and then, like the firefly, it makes faint flashes for a moment, in which its own form is not even visible, and it disappears somewhere, its trace is not found. But the presented feeling, like the sun, shines brightly, sparkles, in which its own self-form, what it is, is also illuminated, the whole world form is illuminated, it casts an extraordinary brilliant and imperishable knowledge-light; and thus it continuously shines, the imperishable luminous feeling.
