The "Mahadeva"-18 faultless Jina-deva, the conqueror of special vision, bestows the state of worshipfulness.
(15) This Bhagavan Vitaraga has uprooted and destroyed from the very roots, that which was bestowed with worshipfulness, as if saying, "O Mallījina! Why should we disregard that which is so beautiful? We should honor those whom you greatly respect, for you have uprooted them from the roots." - Shri Anandghanji.
The knowledge-form of the eternal self, over which the layers of ignorance had accumulated for infinite time, was brought out and manifested by this Bhagavan Vitaraga.
He made the beginningless state of ignorance associated with the self feel ashamed, and behold, it departed in the turiya state! And it departed without even casting a glance back! It did not even make a feeble attempt to stay! Thus, this Bhagavan eliminated the defect of ignorance.
From the four states of sleep, dream, wakefulness, and superwakefulness, He attained the state of superwakefulness. That is, He attained the unbroken, ever-vigilant state of being absorbed in the natural self-form.
He made the states of sleep and dream depart, but did not indulge them, for He was the Lord of His own self-form.
"The eternal knowledge-form is yours, which you have grasped; the state of ignorance felt ashamed and departed without a trace. O Manijina! Sleep, dream, wakefulness, superwakefulness - the turiya state came, the states of sleep and dream felt ashamed and departed, the Lord did not accept them..."
This Mahatma recognized the prostitute named Mithyamati, who had been associated with this jiva from beginningless time, as sinful, unchaste, and adulterous, and expelled her from the abode of the self. And He established a deep relationship of samyaktva (right faith) with her, along with her family. Thus, the Bhagavan diminished the great delusion of wrong belief.
"He established a relationship of samyaktva, deeply bonded with the family;
Recognizing Mithyatva as sinful, He expelled her from the home, O Mallījina!"
The defects like laughter, aversion, attachment, sorrow, disgust, fear - like worthless lumps of clay - were all scattered away! Those base passions were completely eliminated when the Bhagavan ascended the elephant-like ksapakasreni (the series of spiritual stages).
