ગદષ્ટિસમુચ્ચય જ્યાંલગી પર વસ્તુમાં આત્મબુદ્ધિ ટળતી નથી, પરભાવ-વિભાવ પ્રત્યેની અંતરંગ રમણતારૂપ દુષ્ટ દુર્વાસના જ્યાં લગી દૂર થતી નથી, જીવની પરિણતિ અને વૃત્તિ જ્યાં લગી પરભાવવિભાવમાં રાચી રહી છે, ત્યાં લગી તેનું સમસ્ત જ્ઞાન પણ અજ્ઞાન છે, અને તેની અનંત દ્રવ્ય ક્રિયા પણ નિષ્ફળ-નકામી છે. દ્રવ્ય ક્રિયા સાધન વિધિ યાચી, જે જિન આગમ વાંચી; પરિણતિ વૃત્તિ વિભાવે રાચી, તિણે નવિ થાયે સાચી રે મનમેહના”- શ્રી દેવચંદ્રજી
ફલ થકી આ જ કહે છે –
एतद्वन्तोऽत एवेह विपर्यासपरा नराः ।
हिताहितविवेकान्धा खिद्यन्ते सांप्रतेक्षिणः ॥ ७८ ॥ એહીજું કારણથી અહીં, અઘસવેદ્યવંત; વિપર્યાસમાં તત્પરા, એવા નરે હવત. વળી તે હિત-અહિતના વિવેકમાંહિ અંધ; ખેદ પ્રાપ્ત કરતા રહે, વર્તમાન દેખંત, ૭૮
અર્થ એટલા માટે જ અહીં આ અદ્યપદવાળા મનુષ્ય વિપર્યાસપરાયણ હોય છે, એટલે હિત-અહિતના વિવેકમાં અંધ એવા તેઓ વર્તમાનને જ દેખનારા હેઈ, ખેદ પામે છે.
વિવેચન એટલા માટે જ, ઉપરમાં જે કહ્યું તે કારણને લીધે, આ અઘસવેદ્ય પદમાં જે વ છે, એવા મનુષ્ય આ લેકમાં વિપર્યાસપરાયણ હોય છે, એટલે કે વસ્તુસ્થિતિથી - વિપરીત–ઉલટી બુદ્ધિ ધરાવે છે. તેઓ સને અસત્ જાણે છે, અને વિપસ સત્ જાણે છે; તત્ત્વને અતત્ત્વ જાણે છે, અતત્ત્વને તત્વ જાણે છે;
નિત્યને અનિત્ય જાણે છે, અનિત્યને નિત્ય જાણે છે, ધમને અધર્મ જાણે છે, અધર્મને ધર્મ જાણે છે, હિતને અહિત જાણે છે, અહિતને હિત જાણે છે; હેયને આદેય જાણે છે, આદેયને હેય જાણે છે, રેયને જ્ઞાન જાણે છે, જ્ઞાનને ય જાણે છે; આત્માને અનાત્મા જાણે છે, અનાત્માને આત્મા જાણે છે. ઈત્યાદિ અનેક પ્રકારે તે વિપર્યાસનેઊંધી બુદ્ધિનો આવિષ્કાર થાય છે, પ્રગટ ભાવ દેખાય છે. તાત્પર્ય કે વસ્તુ સ્થિતિથી વિપરીત–ઉલટી માન્યતા તેનું નામ વિપર્યાસ છે.
વૃત્તિ –ણતત્તે-આ અદાપદવાળા, અત્ત ga-આજ કારણથી, રૂ–અહીં, લેકમાં, વિપત પર –વિપર્યાસપ્રધાન, ના --નરે, મનુષ્યો, શું ? તે કે:-હિતાવેજાભ્યા-હિતાહિત વિવેકમાં અંધ, આથી રહિત એમ અર્થ છે. એટલા માટે જ કહ્યું કે વિશ્વને કળિ –સાંપ્રતેક્ષીઓ ખેદ પામે છે, વર્તમાનદશી હાઈ ખેદ પામે છે.

And so on, in many ways, the wrong view, the inverted understanding, is revealed, the manifested feeling is seen. The meaning is that the wrong view is the belief that is contrary to the reality.
