[૧૦ લેથલને પાસ મેહે જો-દડોના પાસાથી કે મહાભારતના પાંડવોએ ઉપયોગમાં લીધેલા પૌરાણિક (legendary) પાસાથી જુદો પડે છે. અદનાં સૂક્તોમાં જુગારીના ભાગ્યને વિશે દુઃખ વ્યક્ત કરવામાં આવ્યું છે એ જોતાં પાસાની રમત છેક વૈદિક સમયથી તો જાણીતી છે જ.
