Dhanun re lyâye bâware, shemlû re. dûne;

Hatho di lyûe barchht,as jaut jhângne

355 Came the subjects of the Rânâ from Kaimali and Kaljun,20
Carrying strings for their bows and vessels made of tree-leaves.
Came the subjects of the Rânâ from the lower country.
Bringing in their hands spears, as if to kill porcupines.
Came the subjects of the Rânâ from below Tarânda,
Hanuman bhayiyâ, âmen Jango khe jai; Rana chala Deshû khe, shikh âû-meй lai.33
Hanumano chauki,33 lai bâhar bithat.

360 Carrying in their hands sticks, and short cloaks tied tight round the waist.. Came the subjects of the tap, front Baterâ 25 below,
With their pagris tied awry, like the roots of ginger
Came the abjects of the Rânâ, the Chhibars and Bhalira27
With quivers tied on their backs, they swarmed like bees.
365 Rayîyat âî Râne ri, Nâûn Khanogu Kiro 365 Came the subjects of the Rânâ, from Nâun, Khanog and Kir.
Phat paro mûn-oi-de, pâchha na giro.
Even when wounded in the face, they did not turn their backs.
Rayiyat ai Râne ri, Jat' re Jayâne,
Came the subjects of the Rânâ, the Jayâņas of Jai,
Ghati ghati karo khumli,30 sabai syâne syâne;
Râne rie ragite, bharî rûwe nâlû:
On every pass they held a council and everyone was as wise as could be.
With the Rânâ's subjects every ravine was filled.
