That Anandarayamakbin was dead, when Pratâpasimba (Pratapesing) ascended the throne in 1741, is beyond all doubt, me the name of the former is mentioned among the benevolent men of the past in the subjoined verse of the Mahishakataka, which was composed at that time by Vañchheávara.
नानाजिमभुचन्द्रभानुशहजीन्द्रानन्दरायादयो विद्वांसः प्रभवो गताः श्रितसुधीसन्दोहजीवातवः । विद्यायां विषबुझ्यो हि वृषलाः सभ्यास्त्विदानींतनाः
किं कुर्वेभ्व कृषे व्रजामि शरणं त्वामेव विश्वावनीम्॥ Therefore, the Asvaldyan agrikyasútravritti by Anandarîyamakhin could certainly not have been written so late as 1770 A. D. as Dr. Barnell supposes (see his Tanjore Catalogue, p. 13). The following pedigree of Anandarayamakhin is based on the extracte quoted below it :

श्रीमद्भोसलवंशभूपतिकुलामात्येषु विख्यातिमा
भारद्वाजकुलार्णवेन्दुरुदभूद्वावाजिरभ्याहितः । पुलस्तस्य किलैकभूपतिमणेमन्त्री सदैवादृतस्तेनासीगुरुवत्प्रगल्भधिषणो गङ्गाधराख्योऽध्वरी ॥ ३॥ तस्य दो तनयाद्दारचरितौ कृष्णाम्बिकागजावेकक्ष्मापतिलालिती गुरुपदे चारोप्य संमानितौ । तत्पुलेण च शाहजिक्षितिभृता ज्येष्ठानुवृत्त्यादृती तत्तादृग्विविधाप्रहारकरणाद्विद्वत्प्रतिष्ठापकी ॥४॥ ज्येष्ठस्तन सदावदातचरितः श्रीमानसिंहाध्वरी गायत्रीसमुपासनादिभिरपि श्रीतैश्च सत्कर्मभिः । आस्मानं परिपूर्य तं सुचरितैः पुनः प्रतिष्ठाप्य च लेधा ब्रह्महिताय सस्कृतिचितान्स ब्रह्मलोकानगात्.॥५॥ तस्यात्मलितयेऽग्रजस्तु धृतिमानानन्दरायावरी कौमारात्प्रभृति प्रगल्भधिषणः श्रीशाहराजादृतः। इष्टापूर्तसदन्नदानसुहित विद्यवृरैः सह श्रुत्युक्तार्यपरिष्क्रियापदुमतिः सत्कर्मनिष्णातधीः ॥६॥
