नरकविभक्ति अध्ययनं __ अनुवाद - संतक्षण नामक एक नरक है । वह प्राणियों को घोर परिताप देता है । उसमें क्रूरकर्मा परमाधामी देव अपने हाथ में कुल्हाड़े लिए रहते हैं, वे नारकीय प्राणियों के हाथ पैर बांध देते हैं और काठ की तरह कुल्हाड़े से उनका छेदन-भेदन करते है-काटते हैं।
टीका - सम-एकीभावेन तक्षणं सन्तक्षणं, नामशब्दः सम्भावनायां, यदेतत्संतक्षणं तत्सर्वेषां प्राणिनां 'महाभितापं' महादुःखोत्पादकमित्येवं सम्भाव्यते, यद्येवं ततः किमित्याह-ते 'नारका' नरकपाला 'यत्र' नरकावासे स्वभवनादागताः 'असाधु कर्माणः' क्रूरकर्माणो निरनुकम्पाः 'कुठारहस्ताः' परशुपाणयस्तान्नारकानत्राणान् हस्तैः पादैश्व 'बध्धवा' संयम्य 'फलकमिव' काष्ठशकलमिव 'तक्ष्णुवन्ति' छिन्दन्तीत्यर्थः ॥१४॥ अपि च
टीकार्थ - जो एकी भाव से प्राणियों को काटता है, उसे संतक्षण कहते हैं । यहाँ नाम शब्द सम्भावना के अर्थ में प्रयुक्त है । जो यह संतक्षण नामक नरक कहा गया है, वह समस्त प्राणियों के लिए अत्यन्त दुः ख उत्पन्न करता है, यह संभावित है । यदि ऐसा है तो क्या ? इस प्रश्न का निराकरण करते हुए सूत्रकार कहते हैं कि उस नरक में क्रूरकर्मा-निर्दय कर्म करने वाले निरनुकम्प-अनुकम्पा रहित, दयाशून्य नरकपाल हाथ में कुल्हाड़े लिए हुए अपने भवन से आकर उन त्राण रहित-जिनका कोई रक्षक नहीं है, नारकीय जीवों के हाथ पैर बाँधकर उनका काठ के समान छेदन-भेदन करते हैं-काटते हैं चीरते हैं ।
रुहिरे पुणो वच्चसमुस्सिअंगे, भिन्नुत्तमंगे वरिवत्तयंता । पयंति णं णेरइए फुरंते, सजीवमच्छे व अयोकवल्ले ॥१५॥ छाया - रूधिरे पुनः वर्चः समुच्छ्रिताङ्गान् भिन्नोत्तामाङ्गान् परिवर्तयन्तः ।
पचन्ति नैरमिकान् स्फुरतः सजीवमत्स्यानिवाय सकलवल्याम् ॥ अनुवाद - नरकपाल नारकीय जीवों का खून निकालकर, उसे गर्म कड़ाहे में डालकर उस खून में जीवित मछली के समान उन नारकों को डाल देते हैं और पकाते हैं । जिनके शरीर मल द्वारा समुच्छ्रित-सूजे हुए-फूले हुए हैं, तथा जिनके मस्तक चूर-चूर किये हुए हैं ।
टीका - ते परमाधार्मिकास्तान्नारकान्स्वकीये रूधिरे तप्तकवल्यां प्रक्षिप्ते पुनः पचन्ति वर्चः प्रधानानि समुच्छ्रितान्यन्त्रण्यङ्गानि वा येषां ते तथा तान् भिन्नं चूर्णितम् उत्तमाकं शिरो येषां ते तया तानिति, कथं पचन्तीत्याह'परिवर्तयन्तः' उत्तानानवाङ्मुखान् वा कुर्वन्तः णमिति वाक्यालङ्कारे तान्-'स्फुरत' इतश्चेतश्च विह्वलमात्मानं निक्षिपतः सजीवमत्स्यानिवायसकवल्यामिति ॥१५॥ तथा -
टीकार्थ - वे परमाधामी देव उन नरकगत जीवों को कड़ाही में उबलते उन्हीं के खून में डालकर पकाते हैं । उन नारकीय जीवों की अन्तड़िया तथा अन्य अंग मल के कारण समुच्छ्रित-सूजे हुए हैं । उनके मस्तक चूर-चूर किए हुए हैं । वे किस तरह पकाये जाते हैं इसका दिग्दर्शन करते हुए कहते हैं-जो नारकीय जीव उल्टे पड़े हुए हैं, उनको सीधे करके, जो सीधे पड़े हुए हैं, उनको उल्टे करके पकाते हैं । यहाँ 'णं' शब्द वाक्यालंकार के अर्थ में आया है । इस प्रकार पकाये जाते हुए नारकीय जीव व्याकुल होकर अपने शरीर को इधर उधर उलटते, पलटते हुए तड़फड़ाते हैं । नरकपाल सजीव मछली की ज्यों लोहे की कड़ाही में पकाते जाते हैं।
