श्री सूत्रकृताङ्ग सूत्रम् अनुवाद - स्त्रियाँ साधु के चित्त को आकृष्ट करने के लिए उद्यमशील होती हैं, वे करुणोत्पादक वचन बोलकर-विनीत भावपूर्वक साधु के निकट आती हैं, मंजुल, मधुर, भाषण करती हैं, मीठी बोली बोलती हैं । कामवासना विषयक आलाप संलाप द्वारा साधु को अपनी ओर आकृष्ट करती हैं । _टीका - मनो बध्यते यैस्तानि मनोबन्धनानि-मञ्जुलालापस्निग्धावलोकनाङ्मप्रत्यङ्गप्रकटनादीनि, तथा
चोक्तम् -
___"णाह पिय कंत सामिय दइय जियाओ तुमं यह पिओत्ति । जीए जीयामि अहं पह्वसि तं मे सरीरस्स॥१॥"
छाया - नाथ कान्त प्रिय स्वामिन्दयित ! जीवितादपि त्वं मम प्रियइति । जीवति जीवामि अहं प्रभुरसि त्वं मे शरीरस्य ॥१॥
इत्यादिभिरनेकैः प्रपञ्चैः करुणालापविनयपूर्वकं 'उवगसित्ताणं 'ति उपसंश्लिष्यसमीपमागत्य 'अथ' तदनंतरं 'मञ्जुलानि' पेशलानि विश्रम्भजनकानि कामोत्कोचकानि वा भाषन्ते, तदुक्तम् - _ "मितमहुररिभियजंपुल्लएहि ईसीकडक्खहसिएहिं । सविगारेहि वरागं हिययं पिहियं मयच्छीए ॥१॥"
छाया - मितमधुररिभितजल्पारीषत्कटाक्षहसितैः । सविकारैर्वराकं हृदयं पिहितं मृगाक्ष्याः ॥१॥
तथा 'भिन्नकथाभी' रहस्यालापैमैथुनसम्बन्बैर्वचोभिः साधोश्चित्तमादाय तमकार्यकरणं प्रति 'आज्ञापयन्ति' प्रवर्तयन्ति, स्ववशं वा ज्ञात्वा कर्मकरवदाज्ञां कारयन्तीति ॥७॥ अपिच -
टीकार्थ - जिनसे मन बंध जाता है, आकृष्ट हो जाता है उनको मनोबन्धन कहा जाता है । मंजुल आलाप-मीठे वचन बोलना, स्निग्ध अवलोकन-प्यार भरी नजर से देखना और अपनी देह के अंगों उपांगों को दिखलाना इत्यादि मन को बाँधने वाले हैं । कहा गया है 'नाथ ! प्रिय ! कान्त ! स्वामिन! दैव ! तुम मुझे मेरे जीवन से भी अधिक प्रिय हो । मैं तुम्हारे जीने से जीवित हूँ। आप मेरी देह के प्रभु-स्वामी हैं, इत्यादि अनेक प्रवंचना पूर्ण वचन तथा करुणाजनक आलाप और विनय के साथ वे साधु के पास आकर विश्वासोत्पादक, कामोत्पादक, मधुर भाषण करती है । जैसा कहा गया है मृगाक्षी-मृग के से नेत्रों वाली स्त्री का हृदय परिमित-सीमित मधुर भाषण मीठी बोली से सिक्त कटाक्ष हाव भाव तथा मन्द मुस्कान युक्त विकारों से ढका होता है । स्त्रियाँ रहस्यपूर्ण आलाप भोग वासना पूर्ण वार्तालाप से साधु के मन को अपरित कर उसको अपने साथ दुष्कर्म करने में प्रवृत करती हैं अथवा साधु को अपने वश में हुआ जानकर नौकर की तरह हुक्म चलाती हैं।
सीहं जहा व कुणिमेणे, निब्भयमेगचरंति पासेणं । एवित्थियाउ बंधंति, संकुडं एगतियमणगारं ॥८॥ छाया - सिंहं यथा मांसेन निर्भयमेकचरं पाशेन ।
एवं स्त्रियो बन्धन्ति संवृतमेकतयमनगारम् ॥ अनुवाद - शिकारी निर्भीक होकर विचरण करने वाले शेर को आमिष-मांस का प्रलोभन देकर पाश में-जाल में बद्ध कर लेते हैं उसी प्रकार स्त्रियाँ मन-वचन शरीर द्वारा गुप्त रहने वाले-पापकृत्य से बचने वाले साधु को अपने काबू में कर लेती हैं ।
