________________ छाया - उपसर्गाध्ययनं एते भोः ! कृत्स्नाः स्पर्शाः परुषाः दुरधिसह्याः । हस्तिन इव शर संवीता क्लीवा अवशाः गताः ग्रहम् ॥ इति ब्रवीमि ॥ अनुवाद शिष्यों ! पहले कहे गए उपसर्ग असह्य और दुःखप्रद है, उनसे उद्वेलित होकर कायर पुरुष पुनः गृहस्थ में आ जाते हैं। जैसे बाण से आहत हाथी युद्ध भूमि को छोड़कर भाग जाता है उसी प्रकार आत्मबल रहित पुरुष घबराकर संयम् का परित्याग कर देते हैं, ऐसा मैं कहता हूँ । - टीका - उपसंहारार्थमाह- भो इति शिष्यामन्त्रणं, य एत आदितः प्रभृति दंश मशकादयः पीडोत्पादकत्वेन परीषा एवोपसर्गा अभिहिता 'कृत्सना: ' संपूर्णा बाहुल्येन स्पृश्यन्ते - स्पर्शेन्द्रियेणानुभूयन्त इति स्पर्शाः, कथम्भूताः ?
