________________ श्री सूत्रकृताङ्ग सूत्रम् टीका - किञ्च इह अस्मिन् संसारे आस्तां तावदन्यज्जीवितमेव सकलसुखास्पदमनित्यताघ्रातम् आवीचिमरणेन प्रतिक्षणं विशरारुस्वभावं, तथा सर्वायुःक्षय एव वा तरुण एव वा युवैव वर्षशतायुरप्युपक्रमतोऽध्यसान निमित्तादिरुपादायुषः त्रुटति प्रच्यवते यदिवा साम्प्रतं सुववप्यायुर्वर्षशतं तच्च तस्य तदन्ते त्रुट्यति तच्च सागरोपमापेक्षया कतिपयनिमेष प्रायत्वात् इत्वरवासकल्पं वर्तते स्तोकनिवासकल्पमित्येवं बुध्यध्वं यूयं तथैवंभूतेऽप्यायुषि नराः पुरुषाः लघुप्रकृतयः कामेषु शब्दादिषु विषयेषु गृद्धा अध्युपपन्नाः मूर्च्छिताः तत्रैवासक्तचेतसो नरकादियातनास्थान माप्नुवन्तीति शेषः ॥८॥ टीकार्थ इस जगत में और चीजों की बात ही क्या ? पहले अपने जीवन की तरफ देखो। जो सब सुखों का स्थान है, जिस पर सभी सुख टिके हुए हैं, यह जीवन अनित्य है । आवीचि मरणवत - समुद्र की तरंगे जैसे प्रतिक्षण ऊपर उठती जाती है, नष्ट होती जाती है, उसी प्रकार प्रतिक्षण आयुष्य नष्ट होता है। समग्र आयु क्षीण हो जाने पर अथवा अध्यवसान - निमित्त स्वरूप उपकरण के कारण कोई सौ वर्ष की आयु वाला पुरुष भी जवानी में ही चला जाता है, अथवा इस मनुष्य लोक में सबसे दीर्घ आयु सौ वर्ष की मानी जाती है, वह भी सौ वर्ष बीत जाने पर समाप्त हो जाती है। वह सागरोपमकाल की तुलना में एक निमिष के तुल्य ही है । इसलिये यह संसार थोड़े दिनों के आवास के सदृश है - ऐसा समझो। आयु की जब ऐसी स्थिति है तो लघु प्रकृति -हीन या तुच्छ स्वभावयुक्त व्यक्ति ही इन शब्दादि इंद्रिय विषयों में मूर्च्छित रहते हैं - आसक्त रहते हैं । फलतः नरक आदि यातना स्थानों में दुर्गति में जाते 1 - जे इह आरंभनिस्सिया, आतदंडा (ड) एगंतलूसगा । गंता ते पावलोगयं, चिररायं आसुरियं दिसं ॥९॥ छाया य इह आरंभनिश्रिता आत्मदण्डा एकान्तलूषकाः । गंतारस्ते पापलोककं चिररात्र मासुरीं दिशम् ॥ - अनुवाद इस संसार में जो पुरुष आरंभ निसृत हिंसा आदि आरंभ समारंभ में आसक्त आत्मदण्डपापकर्मों द्वारा आत्मा के लिये दंडप्रद, दुःखप्रद तथा एकान्ततः जीव हिंसक हैं, वे चिरकाल तक पापमय लोकों में जाते हैं । असुर अथवा (यदि बाल तप का आचरण किया हो तो) देव योनि में भी वे असुर नामक निम्न कोटि के देवता होते हैं । टीका अपि च ये केचन महामोहाकुलितचेतसः इह अस्मिन् मनुष्य लोके आरम्भे हिंसादि के सावद्यानुष्ठानरूपे निश्चयेन श्रिताः संबद्धा अध्यपपन्नास्ते आत्मानं दण्डयन्तीत्यात्मदण्डकाः तथैकान्तेनैवजन्तूनां लूषकाः हिंसकाः सदनुष्ठानस्य वा ध्वंसकाः ते एवंभूताः गन्तारो यास्यन्ति पापं लोकं पापकारिणां यो लोको नरकादिः चिररात्रम् इति प्रभूतं कालं तन्निवासिनो भवन्ति तथा बालतपश्चरणादिना यद्यपि तथाविधदेवत्वापत्तिः तथापि असुराणामियमासुरीतां दिशं यान्ति अपरप्रेष्याः किल्विषिकाः देवाधमाः भवन्तीत्यर्थः ॥९॥ - टीकार्थ – महामोह से जिनका चित्त आकुलित है, वे इस मनुष्य लोक में सावद्य - पापयुक्त हिंसा आदि कार्यों में निश्चय ही आसक्त रहते हैं, वे अपनी आत्मा को दण्डित करते हैं-असत् कर्मों द्वारा दुःखित बनाते हैं । एकान्त रूपेण वे प्राणियों के प्राण लूटते हैं, हिंसक हैं । सत् अनुष्ठान-उत्तम कार्यों के विध्वंसक 184
