मूलाचारफासे रसे य गंधे विसया णव जोयणाय बोधव्वा । सोदस्सदु बारसजोयणाणिदो चक्खुसो वोच्छं१०९६ स्पर्शस्य रसस्य च गंधस्य विषया नव योजनानि बोद्धव्यानि । श्रोत्रस्य तु द्वादशयोजनानि इतश्चक्षुषो वक्ष्ये ॥ १०९६ ॥
अर्थ-संज्ञीपंचेंद्रिय चक्रवर्ती आदिके स्पर्शन रसना प्राण इन तीन इंद्रियोंका विषय नौ यौजन है और श्रोत्र इंद्रियका विषय बारह योजन है। अब आगे चक्षु इंद्रियका विषय कहते हैं ॥ १०९६ ॥ सत्तेतालसहस्सा वे चेव सदा हवंति तेसट्ठी। चक्खिदियस्स विसओ उक्कस्सोहोदि अतिरित्तो१०९७ सप्तचत्वारिंशत्सहस्राणि द्वे एव शते भवंति त्रिषष्ठिः । चक्षुरिंद्रियस्य विषय उत्कृष्टो भवति अतिरिक्तः॥१०९७॥
अर्थ-चक्षु इंद्रियका उत्कृष्ट विषय सैंतालीस हजार दोसौ त्रेसठ योजन कुछ अधिक है ॥ १०९७ ॥ अस्सीदिसदं विगुणं दीवविसेसस्स वग्ग दहगुणियं । मूलं सहिविहत्तं दिणद्धमाणाहदं चक्खू ॥ १०९८ ॥ अशीतिशतं द्विगुणं द्वीपविशेषस्य वर्गो दशगुणितः । मूलं षष्ठिविभक्तं दिनार्धमानाहतं चक्षुः ॥ १०९८ ॥
अर्थ-एकसौ अस्सीको दूना करनेपर तीनसौ साठ हुए, तीनसौ साठको जंबूद्वीपके विष्कम एकलाख योजनमेंसे घटाया उस वची हुई संख्याका वर्ग किया उस वर्गको दसगुणा किया उसका वर्गमूल किया उसे साठका भाग दे नौसे गुणा किया जो प्रमाण आया वही चक्षु इंद्रियका विषय क्षेत्र है ॥ १०९८ ॥
