मूलाचारयतं मुंजीत भाषेत एवं पापं न बध्यते ॥ १०१३ ॥
अर्थ-यत्नाचारसे ( ईर्यापथशुद्धिसे ) गमन करे, महाव्रतादि यनसे तिष्ठे, पीछीसे शोधकर बैठे, सोधकर रात्रिमें एक पार्श्वसे सोवे, दोषरहित आहार करे, भाषासमितिके क्रमसे बोले-इस प्रकारसे पाप नहीं बंध सकता ॥ १०१३ ॥ जदं तु चरमाणस्स दयापेहुस्स भिक्खुणो।
णवं ण बज्झदे कम्मं पोराणं च विधूयदि ॥१०१४॥ .. यत्नेन तु चरतः दयारोक्षिणो भिक्षोः।
नवं न बध्यते कर्म पुराणं च विधूयते ॥१०१४ ॥
अर्थ-यत्नसे आचरण करते और दया पालते हुए साधुके नवीन कर्म तो बंधता ही नहीं और पुराने कर्म भी क्षय होते जाते हैं ॥ १०१४ ॥ एवं विधाणचरियं जाणित्ता आचरिज जो भिक्खू । णासेऊण दु कम्मं दुविहंपि य लहु लहइ सिद्धिं १०१५
एवं विधानचरितं ज्ञात्वा आचरेत् यो भिक्षुः। नाशयित्वा तु कर्म द्विविधमपि च लघु लभते सिद्धिं १०१५
