मूलाचार
अर्थ-जिसका संतोषमें अत्यंत निश्चितमति होनेरूप अर्थात् तत्त्वरुचिरूप तो परकोटा है, चारित्र बड़ा दरवाजा है, उपशमभाव और धर्म ये दो जिसके किवाड़ हैं और दोप्रकारका संयम वह रक्षाकरनेवाला कोतवाल है ऐसा तपरूपी नगर है ॥ ८७७ ॥ रागो दोसो मोहो इंदिय चोरा य उज्जदा णिचं । ण च एति पहंसेतुं सप्पुरिससुरक्खियं णयरं ॥८७८॥
रागो द्वेषः मोह इंद्रियाणि चौराश्च उद्यता नित्यं । न च यति प्रध्वंसयितुं सत्पुरुषसुरक्षितं नगरं ॥ ८७८ ॥
अर्थ-इस तपरूपी नगरका नाश करनेकेलिये राग द्वेष मोह इंद्रियरूपी चोर सदा लगे रहते हैं परंतु सत्पुरुषरूपी योधाओंकर अच्छीतरह रक्षा किये गये इस तपोनगरके नाश करनेकेलिये समर्थ नहीं होसकते ।। ८७८ ॥ एदे इंदियतुरया पयदीदोसेण चोइया संता। उम्मग्गं णेति रहं करेह मणपग्गहं बलियं ॥ ८७९॥ एते इंद्रियतुरगाः प्रकृतिदोषेण चोदिताः संतः। उन्मार्ग नयंति रथं कुरु मनःप्रग्रहं बलवत् ॥ ८७९ ॥
अर्थ-ये इंद्रियरूपी घोडे खाभाविक रागद्वेषकर प्रेरे हुए धर्मध्यानरूपी रथको विषयरूपी कुमार्गमें लेजाते हैं इसलिये एकाग्रमनरूपी लगामको बलवान् ( मजबूत ) करो ॥ ८७९ ॥ रागो दोसो मोहो धिदीए धीरेहिं णिजिदा सम्म । पंचिंदिया य दंता वदोववासप्पहारेहिं ॥ ८८०॥
रागो द्वेषो मोहो धृत्या धीरैः निर्जिताः सम्यक् । पंचेंद्रियाणि दांतानि व्रतोपवासप्रहारैः ॥ ८८० ॥
