मूलाचार
तिको अवलोकन करनेवाले हैं ऐसे मुनिराज तपशुद्धिके करता होते हैं ॥ ८७१ ॥
ते इंदियेसु पंचसु ण कयाइ रायं पुणोवि बंधंति । उण्हेण व हारिद्दं णस्सदि रागो सुविहिदाणं ॥ ८७२ ॥
ते इंद्रियेषु पंचसु न कदाचित् रागं पुनरपि बध्नति । उष्णेन इव हारिद्रो नश्यति रागः सुविहितानां ॥ ८७२ ॥
अर्थ — वे मुनि पांचों इंद्रियोंमें कभी फिर राग नहीं करते क्योंकि शोभित आचरण धारियोंके राग नष्ट होजाता है जैसे सूर्य की घामसे हलदीका रंग नाशको पाता है ॥ ८७२ ॥
अब ध्यानशुद्धिको कहते हैं; -
विसएसु पधावंता चवला चंडा तिदंडगुत्तेहिं । इंदियचोरा घोरा वसम्मि ठविदा ववसिदेहिं ॥ ८७३ ॥
विषयेषु प्रधावंतः चपलाश्रंडाः त्रिदंडगुप्तैः । इंद्रियचौरा घोरा वशे स्थापिता व्यवसितैः ।। ८७३ ॥
अर्थ – रूपरसादि विषयों में दौड़ते चंचल क्रोधको प्राप्त हुए भयंकर ऐसे इंद्रियरूपी चोर मनवचनकाय गुप्तिवाले चारित्र में उद्यमी साधुजनोंने अपने वशमें करलिये हैं ॥ ८७३ ॥ जह चंडो वणहत्थी उद्दामो णयररायमग्गम्मि । तिक्खंकुसेण धरिओ परेण दृढसत्तिजुत्तेण ॥ ८७४ ॥ यथा चंडो वनहस्ती उद्दामो नगरराजमार्गे । तीक्ष्णांकुशेन धृतः नरेण दृढशक्तियुक्तेन ।। ८७४ ॥ अर्थ — जैसे मदोन्मत्त क्रोधी वनका हाथी सांकल आदि बंध
