मूलाचारदव्वे खेत्ते काले भावे य चदुव्विहो य संसारो। चदुगदिगमणणिबद्धो बहुप्ययारेहिं णादवो ॥७०४॥
द्रव्यं क्षेत्रं कालः भावश्च चतुर्विधश्च संसारः। चतुर्गतिगमननिबद्धः बहुप्रकारैः ज्ञातव्यः ॥ ७०४ ॥
अर्थ-द्रव्य क्षेत्र काल भाव इस तरह चार परिवर्तनरूप संसार जानना । वह नरकादि गतियोंमें भ्रमणके लिये कारण है और बहुत प्रकारका है ॥ ७०४ ॥ किं केण कस्स कत्थ व केवचिरं कदिविधो य भावो य। छहिं अणिओगद्दारे सव्वे भावाणुगंतव्वा ॥७०५ ॥
का केन कस्य कुत्र वा कियचिरं कतिविधः च भावश्च । षइभिरनियोगद्वारैः सर्वे भावा अनुगंतव्या ॥ ७०५॥
अर्थ-कोंन संसार है, किसभावसे संसार है, किसके संसार हैं, कहां संसार है, कितने बहुतकालतक संसार है, कितने प्रकारका संसार है-इस तरह छह प्रश्नोतरोंद्वारा संसारको तथा सभी पदार्थों को जानना चाहिये ॥ ७०५॥ तत्थ जराभरणभयं दुक्खं पियविप्पओग बीहणयं । अप्पियसंजोगंवि य रोगमहावेदणाओ य ॥७०६ ॥ तत्र जरामरणभयं दुःखं प्रियविप्रयोगं भीषणं । अप्रियसंयोगमपि च रोगमहावेदनाश्च ॥ ७०६ ॥ अर्थ-इस संसारमें जराका भय मरणका भय मनवचनकायका दुःख, प्रियवस्तुके वियोगसे उत्पन्न हुआ दुःख, भयंकर अनिष्टसंयोगसे उत्पन्न दुःख, खांसी आदि रोगसे उपजी पीड़ा-इनको प्राप्त होता है ॥ ७०६ ॥
