पंचाचाराधिकार ५। होदि वणप्फदि वल्ली रुक्खतणादी तहेव एइंदी। ते जाण हरितजीवा जाणित्ता परिहरेदव्वा॥ २१७ ॥
भवति वनस्पतिः वल्ली वृक्षणादीनि तथैव एकेंद्रियाः । तान् जानीहि हरितजीवान् ज्ञात्वा परिहर्तव्याः॥२१७॥

अर्थ-त्रसकायिक दो प्रकार कहे हैं विकलेंद्रिय, सकलेंद्रिय । दोइंद्रिय तेइंद्रिय चतुरिंद्रिय इन तीनोंको विकलेंद्रिय जानना और शेष पंचेंद्रिय जीवोंको सकलेन्द्रिय जानना ॥ २१८ ।। संखो गोभी भमरादिआ दु विकलिंदिया मुणेदव्वा । संकलिंदिया य जलथलखचरा सुरणारयणरा य॥२१९
शंखः गोपालिका भ्रमरादिकाः तु विकलेंद्रिया ज्ञातव्याः। सकलेंद्रियाश्च जलस्थलखचराः सुरनारकनराश्च ॥ २१९ ॥ अर्थ-शंख आदि, गोपालिका चींटी आदि, भौंरा आदि, जीव दोइंद्रिय तेइंद्रिय चौइंद्रियरूप विकलेंद्रिय जानना । तथा सिंह आदि स्थलचर, मच्छ आदि जलचर, हंस आदि आकाशचर तिर्यंच और देव नारकी मनुष्य-ये सब पंचेंद्रिय हैं ॥ २१९ ॥
