समाचाराधिकार ४ । गंभीरो दुर्धर्षों मितवादी अल्पकुतूहलश्च । चिरप्रवजितः गृहीतार्थः आर्याणां गणधरो भवति॥१८४॥
अर्थ-गुणोंकर अगाध हो, परवादियोंसे दवनेवाला न हो, थोड़ा बोलनेवाला हो, अल्प विस्मय जिसके हो, बहुतकालका दीक्षित हो और आचार प्रायश्चित्तादि ग्रंथोंका जाननेवाला हो । ऐसा आचार्य आर्याओंको उपदेश देसकता है ।। १८४ ॥ एवंगुणवदिरित्तो जदि गणधरितं करेदि अजाणं । चत्तारि कालगा से गच्छादि विराहणा होज ॥१८५॥ एवंगुणव्यतिरिक्तः यदि गणधरत्वं करोति आर्याणाम् । चत्वारः कालकाः तस्य गच्छादयः विराधिता भवेयुः१८५
अर्थ-इन पूर्वकथित गुणोंसे रहित मुनि जो आर्यिकाओंका गणधरपना करता है उसके गणपोषण आदि चार काल तथा गच्छ आदिकी विराधना ( नाश ) होती है ॥ १८५ ॥ किंबहुणा भणिदेण दु जा इच्छा गणधरस्स सा सव्वा। काव्वा तेण भवे एसेव विधी दु सेसाणं ॥ १८६ ॥
किं बहुना भाणतेन तु या इच्छा गणधरस्य सा सर्वो। कर्तव्या तेन भवेत् एषैव विधिस्तु शेषाणाम् ॥ १८६॥ अर्थ-बहुत कहनेसे क्या लाभ, जैसी आचार्यकी इच्छा हो वैसे ही आगंतुक मुनिको करना चाहिये । और शेष मुनियोंको भी अर्थात् अपने गणमें रहनेवालोंको भी ऐसा ही करना चाहिये ॥ १८६ ॥ ___ आगे आर्याओंका समाचार कहते हैंएसो अजाणंपि अ सामाचारो जधाखिओ पुव्वं ।
