ધમબિ-૬ સંબંધમાં Voice of silence નામના અધ્યાત્મિક ઉન્નતિના માર્ગદર્શક પુસ્તકમાં લખેલું છે કે,
Let thy soul lend irs ear to every cry of pain, like as the lotus bares its heart to drink the morning sun, Let not the fierce sun dry one tear of pain, before thyself hast wiped it off from the sufferer's eye. But let each burning humin tear drop on thy heart, and there remain, nor ever brush it off, until the pain that caused it is re. moved. These tears, Oh thou of heart most mer. ciful, these are the streams that irrigate the fields of charity immortal. It is on such soil that grows the midnight blossom of Buddha, Achat and ot. her Great Ones. It is the seed of freedom from rebirth. It isolates the Arhat both frɔm strite and lust and it leeds him unto pleace and bliss kno yn only by the spirit.
જેવી રીતે પ્રાતઃકાળના સૂર્યનાં કિરણ ગ્રહણ કરવા કમળ પિતાનું હૃદય ઉઘાડે છે, તે જ રીતે દુઃખને દરેક પિકાર સાંભળવા તારા કાન ખુલ્લા રાખ. તે દુઃખી મનુષ્યની આંખમાંથી તું આંસુ ન લુછી નાંખે ત્યાં સુધી સૂર્યના પ્રચંડ કિરણથી તે આંસુને સુકાવા દેતો નહિ. પણ મનુષ્યનું બળતું દરેક આંસુનું ટીપું તારા હદય ઉપર પડવા દેજે અને ત્યાં રહેવા દેજે, અને જે કારણથી તે આંસુ પડયું તે કારણ તું દૂર ન કરી શકે, ત્યાં સુધી તારા હૃદયપટપર પડેલા તે આંસુને ખંખેરી નાંખતે નહિ.
