But the Sanskrit poets are gifted with the power of giving an Indian colour to the foreign terms and began to change the pronunciation as Śâhājī and Sarabhaji. So we should not be confounded that the multifarious terms-as Shahjf, Sabaji, Sabaji meant different personages.

Shabjf has patronised many men of letters. It is well indicated by the activity of presenting the Shahrajapuram, modern Tiruvisanallure to a band of 46 learned Pandits. He was himself well versed in Sanskrit and Mahrathi and Telugu. He had the title Abhinava Bhoja, which one may take to be an apt one. The following works in Sanskrit are ascribed to his pen:

He belongs to the Kaundinya family. He was the Chief Court poet of Shahajl. He was the disciple of Cokkanathama. khin, his father-in-law. He is one of the grantees of Tiruvisanallure. He had a band of disciples and shone amongst them as the center figure. He was the son of Yajħarāmadīkṣita and the disciple of the famous Nilakantha Dikeita. His works are:
