It so happened that the local Muslin Ruler of Saharanpur being of despotic nature wished to build a mosque in Jain Mohala, where not even a single Muslim lived at the place, where Jains wanted to built their temple, A Jain Physician, Thakurdas who had cured the Emperor's queen from an incurable disease did not accept anything inspite of repeated insisting by the Emperor for the acquintance of a right cause, ran Delhi and narroted the whole story to the Emperor Mohammad Shah, who not only stopped the construction of the mosque but ordered that the Jain Temple of 23rd Tirthankara Parsvanath be built there at the State Cost : Voice of Ahinsa, Vol. XII P. 92.
