63. When Aurangzeb was a Prince, he destroyed Jain Temple built by Seth Shanti Das of Ahmedabad in 1638 A.D. When it came into the notice of Shah Jahan, he was very much displeased with the action of Aurangzeb and ordered for its conversion and reconstruction with the same prior attraction at the state cost; and also for installation of Tirthankaras' Jain images. 64. Some Muslims complained to Shah Jahan that Bala Singh disturbs their prayer in mosque by his loud voice of hymn. Shah Jahan ordered, "There is no law that a Hindu can not recite his prayer near mosque. It is pity that there is no temple for him for his prayer.
