good thrashing to the guity boy, without the fear of retallition. Those were the time when tension was running high in Calcutta between Bengalies and non-Bengalies, and a call was given by left parties to throw away non-Bengalies and many families left Bengali dominated area of south Calcutta. Even with the fear of repurcussion he never thought of leaving. He was a brave man ready to stand up against such injustice even against by a large section of society. He guided us to rise above the barrier of caste, freed and religion. He bore no malice even towards people who had done great harm to him personally. He was a man of high personal integrity and honesty, always motivated us to follow the same path. He has always helped energetic and bright youngsters in achieving their dreams. I can only wish that I would fulfil the faith and dream of my father.
