I thank you for your letter of 28th ultimo that you are celebrating the Birth Centenary of the great saint Kavivarya Pandit Shree Manchandraji Maharaj in the month of November, 1976. He was a great saint and his contribution to social
services, especially education, medical relief
and relief to the destitutes in times of natural calamities was remarkable. On the occasion of his birth centenary I offer my respects to him.

તા. ૨૮ મી તારીખના આપના પત્ર માટે હું આભાર માનું છું. પત્રથી જાણ્યું કે આ૫, મહાન સંત કવિવર્ય પંડિત શ્રી નાનચન્દ્રજી મહારાજની જન્મશતાબ્દિ ૧૭૬ ના નવેમ્બર માસમાં ઉજવી રહ્યા છે. તેઓ એક મહાન સંત હતા અને સામાજિક સેવાઓ, વિશેષમાં શિક્ષણ અને તબીબી રાહત અને કુદરતી આપત્તિઓના સમયે નિરાધારાને આપેલી રાહત અંગેને ફાળે નેંધપાત્ર હતું. તેમની જન્મશતાબ્દિના આ પ્રસંગ નિમિત્તે હું તેમના પ્રતિ મારી સન્માન ભાવના પ્રદાન કરું છું.
