ihaikatvena narakīyam karma krtam bhavaty upacitam. sa tat karma kṛtvā nāstiryati. na jihriyati' na vigarhati na jugupsati na deśayati nācaşte na vyaktikaroti nāyatyām samvaram āpadyate bhūyasyā mātrayā hșsyati pritim utpādayati. yathā DevadattaKokālikādayah? idam karma yena samanvāgatah pudgalo narakeşūpapannah paripūrnanairayikam āyuh kșapayitvā cyavati
XXVIII tatra katamat karma yena samanvāgataḥ pudgalo narakeşūpapanno 'rdhanairayikam āyuḥ kṣapayitvā cyavati. ucyate ihaikatyena pārakiyam karma kstam bhavaty upacitam. sa tat: krtvā nāstiryati na jihriyati na vigarhati na jugupsate na deśayati nācaste na vyaktikaroti. nāyatyām samvaram āpadyate api tu na bhūyasyā mātrayā hrsyati na prítim utpadayati'. idam karma yena samanvāgatah pudgalo narakeşūpapanno 'rdhanairayikam āyuh kşapayitvā cyavati.
