**Kasaya Pahud Sutta [15 Charitramoha-Kshapanaadhikaara (162)]**
The first, second, and third **kṛṣṭi** of **krodha** are destroyed by **vedana** (perception) and **saṃkramaṇa** (transition). The last, i.e., the twelfth **sūkṣma-saṃpārāyika kṛṣṭi**, is destroyed only by **vedana**. The remaining **kṛṣṭi** are destroyed by both **vedana** and **saṃkramaṇa**. ||215||
**Vibhāṣā** (Explanation):
The first **kṛṣṭi** of **krodha** is destroyed by **vedana**, or by **avedana** (non-perception), or by **saṃkramaṇa**. The two **kṛṣṭi** that are bound by two **āvali** (nine **nava**-bound) are destroyed only by **saṃkramaṇa** without **vedana**. From the first time the **vedaka** (perceiver) perceives the first **kṛṣṭi** of **krodha** until the **vedaka** perceives the last time of that **kṛṣṭi**, the **kṛṣṭi** is destroyed by **vedana**. Thus, the first **kṛṣṭi** is destroyed by both **vedana** and **saṃkramaṇa**, for some time by **vedana** and for some time by **saṃkramaṇa**. Just as the first **kṛṣṭi** is destroyed, so also the second, third, fourth, and so on until the eleventh **kṛṣṭi** are destroyed by both methods. ||1404-1410||
The twelfth **bādarasaṃpārāyika kṛṣṭi** does not have the said behavior. (Because, its destruction is seen only after it has transformed into a **sūkṣma-saṃpārāyika kṛṣṭi**. The phrase "destroyed by **vedana** of the last **kṛṣṭi**" means that the **sūkṣma-saṃpārāyika kṛṣṭi** is called the last **kṛṣṭi**, and therefore it is destroyed by **vedana** of that last **kṛṣṭi**, not by **saṃkramaṇa**. The remaining **kṛṣṭi**, which are bound by two **āvali** (nine **nava**-bound) in two times, are destroyed by **saṃkramaṇa** in the last **kṛṣṭi**, not by **vedana**. Thus,
