Gatha 171
Exposition of the Specific Differences in the Destruction of Karmic Veils
1. The first Samgrahakrsti (aggregation) of lobha (greed) has more specific differences in the pradesa (spatial units).
2. The second Samgrahakrsti of lobha has more specific differences in the pradesa.
3. The third Samgrahakrsti of lobha has more specific differences in the pradesa.
4. The first Samgrahakrsti of krodha (anger) has innumerable (asankhyeya) times more pradesa than the third Samgrahakrsti of lobha.
The exposition of the second bhasyagatha:
1. The second Samgrahakrsti of krodha is sankhyataguṇa (innumerable times) more than the first Samgrahakrsti in terms of the groups of varganas (molecular aggregates).
2. However, the third Samgrahakrsti of krodha is visesadhika (specifically more) than the second Samgrahakrsti.
3. Similarly, the Samgrahakrstis of mana (pride), maya (deceit), and lobha should be understood as being increasingly more specific.
The vibhasa (elaboration) of the above bhasyagatha:
1. Just as the first bhasyagatha explained the differences in the pradesa, this gatha should explain the differences in the varganas in the same manner.
2. The reason is that the order of exposition of the less and more in both cases (pradesa and varganas) is the same.
3. The term 'vargana' denotes an internal krsti (aggregation) of infinite paramanus (atoms).
The exposition of the third bhasyagatha:
