Kasaya Pahuda Sut
[15 Charitramoh-Ksapanaadhikara]
498. In the first moment, the initial division of the first Apurva-Parddhaka is a little. 499. The initial division of the second Apurva-Parddhaka is more than infinite parts. 500. Similarly, proceeding successively, the initial division of the last Apurva-Parddhaka is infinitely more than the initial division of the last Parddhaka.
Visheshaarth - Here, the doubt is raised as to how the first-moment Avedya (non-perceiving) living being becomes an Apurva-Parddhaka from the Purva-Parddhaka? Its solution is as follows: The Ksapaka, at that time, has 1.5 times the diminution of qualities, and which are appropriately divided in the Purva-Parddhaka, by the proportion of the increase and decrease, he grasps them as a fraction of the infinite part to make them Apurva-Parddhaka. Again, by the infinite diminution of qualities, he makes them weak in power and places them in the infinite part below the first Deshaghati Parddhaka of the Purva-Parddhaka, to make them Apurva-Parddhaka. The implication is that only the infinite part of the divisions of the initial Vargana of the first Deshaghati Parddhaka becomes the divisions of the final Apurva-Parddhaka. In this way, the measure of the Apurva-Parddhaka thus produced is only a fraction of the infinite part of the number of Parddhaka within the Pradesha-Gunhani-Sthantara.
