बन्ध, संक्रम और उदय स्वक स्वक स्थानपर तदनन्तर तदनन्तर कालकी अपेक्षा क्या अधिक हैं, हीन हैं, अथवा समान हैं ? || १४७ ||
विशेषार्थ - यह चौथी मूलगाथा अनुभाग और प्रदेशसम्बन्धी बन्ध, उदय और संक्रमण-विषयक स्वस्थान- अल्पबहुत्व की प्ररूपणा करनेके लिए अवतीर्ण हुई है । इसका स्पष्टी - करण इस प्रकार है - साम्प्रतिक या वर्तमान समय-सम्बन्धी बन्ध, उदय और संक्रमणसे तदनन्तर काल-सम्बन्धी बन्ध, उदय और संक्रमण अपने-अपने स्थानपर क्या अधिक होकर प्रवृत्त होते हैं, या हीन होकर प्रवृत्त होते हैं, अथवा समान होकर प्रवृत्त होते हैं ? इस प्रकारके प्रश्नो द्वारा यह गाथा बन्ध आदि पदोंका तदनन्तर काल के साथ भेद - आश्रय करके स्वस्थानअल्पबहुत्वका निरूपण करती है । यहॉपर पूर्व गाथासूत्रसे अनुभाग और प्रदेश पदकी, तथा 'गुणेण किं वा विसेसेण' इस पदकी अनुवृत्ति करना चाहिए | तदनुसार गाथाका अर्थ इस प्रकार करना चाहिए - अनुभाग-विषयक साम्प्रतिकबन्धसे तदनन्तर समयभावी बन्ध षड्गुणी वृद्धि और हानिकी अपेक्षा क्या अधिक है, हीन है या समान है ? साम्प्रतिक - उदयसे तदनन्तर समयसम्बन्धी उदय षड गुणी वृद्धि और हानिकी अपेक्षा क्या अधिक है, हीन है, या समान है ? तथा साम्प्रतिक संक्रमणसे तदनन्तरकाल-भावी संक्रमण पड्गुणी वृद्धि और हानिकी अपेक्षा सन्निकर्ष किये जानेपर क्या अधिक है, हीन है अथवा समान है ? इसी प्रकार प्रदेशोकी अपेक्षा भी साम्प्रतिक बन्ध, उदय और संक्रमणसे तदनन्तर-समय- सम्बन्धी बन्ध, उदय और संक्रमण अनन्तगुणी वृद्धि और हानिको छोड़कर शेष चतुःस्थान-पतित वृद्धि और हानिकी अपेक्षा अधिक हैं, हीन है या समान हैं ? प्रदेशों की अपेक्षा अनन्तगुणी वृद्धि और हानिको छोड़नेका यह अभिप्राय है कि विवक्षित समयसे तदनन्तर समय में कर्म - प्रदेशोकी अनन्तगुणी वृद्धि या हानि वन्ध, उदय या संक्रमणमें कहीं भी संभव नही है । इस मूल गाथा द्वारा उठाये गये प्रश्नोका उत्तर वक्ष्यमाण भाष्यगाथाओं द्वारा स्वयं ही ग्रन्थकारने दिया है । विवक्षित अर्थकी पृच्छाओंके द्वारा सूचना करना ही मूलगाथाका उद्देश्य होता है ।
